The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.
3
After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

I will be honest when I say I booked this at the last minute because I'd forgotten to book a hotel I usually stay at, so this kind of took its place. So it was basically a question of what was in my budget that was as close to where I was going (a gig at Cambridge Junction over on the Leisure Park) that I could stay in overnight. It's about 15 minutes walk from the station, which counts in its favour. If you're coming via bus, you would have to get on one into St Andrews Street first (3 or 1) from the station, and then change over to a 2 to get you there easily. It was easy enough to drop off my key when leaving in the morning, and the receptionist was friendly. Largely clean facilities.

It was OK for what it was, but not somewhere I'd come again. It's a converted townhouse which has had as many rooms as possible squeezed into it when it's clearly not suited for that at all (although this is not something exclusive to this place, most of the houses along Mill Road seemed to be former townhouses turned HMOs or student accommodation. I half expected to see Dion Dublin off Homes Under The Hammer telling us he was here to see one up for auction). The shared kitchen downstairs and the list of endless house rules did make it feel like it was semi glorified student accommodation, and which was a bit problematic in terms of having to go down several flights of stairs when I wanted a cup of tea whilst juggling room keys, phone and my water bottle I wanted to refill (because it was nigh on impossible to do the latter in the sink in my room). My room was right at the top, which had a sloped ceiling being as it was basically in the loft, which at 6 ft 3, meant I was having to fold myself into bed so that I didn't brain myself getting in and getting out of bed. Something to bear in mind if you're tall like me. The bed itself wasn't all that comfortable a sleep, they used those French square pillows which I had real trouble staying comfortable with. The shower and toilet facilities were also, on that note, whilst clean, quite cramped for someone of my size. I didn't feel all that happy about the fact the key to my room let me in the front door but then also into everyone else's door - to that end, whilst I was out in the evening, I kept my suitcase and main bag padlocked together and hidden inside the wardrobe. If you're hot on security about your belongings, it's something to bear in mind. Not a bad stay, but equally not somewhere I'd come back to in a hurry.

The property was lovely and set on a beautiful golf course. The location was perfect, nice and out the way of everything.

The WiFi was the worst I’ve ever known and it’s e been to a lot of hotels. What made it worse was the phone signal was awful as well. We were told that the WiFi only works in the bar and a couple of rooms. We couldn’t even see the WiFi on our devices in the room we stayed in. We were told it’s too expensive to sort out. And for this reason I can’t recommend this hotel to people that need internet

The view was really good of the pitch the daughter loved it , it was in a good location close to plenty of things

The bed for my daughter wss basically just springs the mattress was gone so she basically just slept in with me and the wife but we stayed at a much cheaper hotel the first two days and the beds where exceptional, also having to wait to be buzzed in anytime you leave the hotel is a bit of an inconvenience and the bar closes to residents at 10 :45

Somethings are getting a little tired, but I’ve been informed the property has actually been sold and will be doing upgrades soon, which will make all the difference.

No Air Conditioning, didn't know this wouldn't be working until we checked in. Guests should be told in advance if facilities are not available so they can make a decision whether to book or not.
