The owners were fantastic - great sense of humour and very accommodating. I stayed for one night because of attending a wedding close by. The next morning I needed to set off too early for breakfast. I was offered the possibility of bacon and egg sandwiches to take on the road with me to ensure I ate something, which I appreciated and enjoyed! The room had everything I needed (and more), was super clean and the bed was one of the most comfy beds I've slept in for some years.

More of a suggestion, breakfast was good however, it'll be good if they can include eggs for breakfast (the hostel can take prepaid breakfast charges if providing eggs). I understand why it's not included though. Thanks for the hospitality!!

The property management company was responsive to requests and worked with us to find a solution that would benefit all of us.

There was a bad leak in the kitchen, which was coming from the shower upstairs. The company was fast to send a plumber but the issue was not resolved before we left. They did provide us with a slight refund, which I appreciate.

Swimming pool and steam room. Good breakfast with a nice view of the surrounding trees through the large windows.

The level of illumination in the room was poor if you want to read while sitting in a chair.. Some additional bright lamps located so they can illuminate a book held by someone sitting in both of the chairs would be a very good idea. It would be nice if tea pots were available at breakfast so that one could make a proper cup of tea. On the Monday morning half of the best tables near the windows were blocked off so they could not be used. This has happened before when staying at Chesford. As the nice views are a big reason for choosing this hotel over others, it seems a silly policy.

The location is perfect for us as family lives quite close. The swimming pool is okay & all areas were clean

The food is cheap and basic. The breakfast staff were miserable. The shower leaked every single time, creating massive puddles. The walls & doors are so thin I could not only hear toiletries taking place, snoring all night from the room next door but phone calls. The changing rooms for the pool have no privacy. The beds are really old!

It was advertised as having a TV, Wifi and a kettle but none of that was in the property. I feel like asking for some money back.
