Well, the location was perfect for me. After I had told everybody I had lived in the village and my daughter was born there I was made to feel like a very special guest indeed. I am a coeliac and I do not eat meat so all menus are a bit limited for me (not a criticism of The Bell) - I usually end up with a jacket potato with cheese wherever I go) but my scrambled eggs at breakfast were just perfect. I had a lovely stay and hope I do not leave it another 51 years before I come back. (Some hope, I am 80 next year - must make it sooner!)

As usual for me.... duvets far to heavy and thick. I would prefer a lightweight duvet with perhaps a blanket available if extra warmth is needed. This is not a big criticism, this happens everywhere I go, even to friends. But it does mean I don't have as good as night as I could.

Plenty of communication before our stay and a message sent once accommodation was ready for use, which was before the stated time. Accommodation had everything we needed, plus an information folder about the area and places to visit and eat. We were a group of 6, returning from a week in Northumberland where all the accommodation had been excellent and this property was the icing on the cake. A short walk into town, where coffee shops, bars and restaurants are plentiful. Would definitely stay again if we ever return to the area.

The location of this room was perfect, in main town, close to all the amenities that you need, and a lovely view, the only thing that was a bit off was the noise from the bars, but other than that, everything was perfect. Would definitely recommend for a short stay

We got the room where in near the kitchen roof, so the noise, is like an aeroplane engine all night, can't sleep at all, is very loud noise, and not sure what it is
