Everything. The suite was beautifully decorated. The service was attentive and professional, but the main thing that me and my wife liked the best was the food. We stayed for one night and eat for lunch, dinner and breakfast without faults. All the dishes were exquisite expecially the fish and chips. We have been in different establishments in the New forest but the Bear of Burton was problably the one we liked the most.

The location is perfect, right in the city center, so you can walk to all the major attractions. The staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and accommodating. Breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of options. The room was well-appointed and comfortable.

The location was brilliant very close to bars and restaurants. Shower was very spacious! Receptionist was lovely when we arrived.

The bed was a small double, very tight for two people to sleep in when one side is against the wall means the person on the outside had to move during the night if the other person wanted to go toilet. The pillows where extremely uncomfortable and hard.

The bathroom was dirty. Mould in shower. Lights next to bed didn't work. Never got told what time to check out and nearly got charged for being late of checking out (even though they hadn't started cleaning rooms). Lack of towels

Travelling from Kent, When I arrived at around 4.30 for a 3 pm check in, my room wasn’t ready, being told my room was still dirty. I Mentioned I had two small children and I had booked this hotel room sometime last year and confirmed I was coming the day before. I was found another room. Parking is good, and registering is easy. But the reception said that if I get a fine to inform the hotel. I think this should be fail proof. I then said that I had tried to phone the hotel a couple of days before, I was on the line a while and no answer. As she said I should phone, I said will my call get answered, she said yes, but I said we wasn’t sure of the location of the hotel and had called while in the car park, as with the nhs signs and the restaurant, we wasn’t sure we had arrived at the correct place. She said she was busy, which I had witnessed from the carpark no one was at the reception and I mentioned I hung up because my call wasn’t answered the day before, so I’m concerned about the carpark situation . Also a problem with the shower head, will not stay in position so makes floor wet, it’s powerful and moves the curtain
