Excellent location close to town centre. Very well heated chalet with everything you need in a holiday cottage and immaculately clean on arrival. We were there in winter, so the small boot room / vestibule inside the front door meant we could leave our outdoor gear there rather than taking it inside.

Wooden chalet interiors are a bit dated now and could do with upgrading although everything works and ours was immaculately clean. The windows also need to be replaced or properly renovated as the double glazing is dusty on the inside.

We were upgraded at no extra cost into a lovely room in the roof, sea facing with a balcony, fab, thank you Riviera. Unfortunately, the rooms are very poorly insulated so we could our noisy neighbour into the early hours, two of the three nights we stayed there which tainted our experience.

Overall, it was a horrible experience. The apartment was not properly cleaned when we arrived. Cobwebs in the fireplace. The toilet was full of flies (googled and found out about drain flies for the first time in our lives). The flies just kept popping out the toilet after multiple flushes. We complained about the flies, they sent someone but all the person did was flush. We had to buy baking soda and bug spray because we couldn’t be moved to another apartment, busy weekend they said. Let’s not get into the dirty sock by the toilet, bugs we found in the kitchen drawers the next day, dirty drawers that obviously had not been cleaned in months and black things coming out of the shower. The shower drain, DIRTY. The cleaning person still did a quick and bad job after we complained. After my first night, I woke up to a bite under one of my breasts, took a picture. Spot is still dark. Gave up on complaining and hoped for the best. We bought bottles of water to drink, cook, brush our teeth and wash our faces. We were just scared. Very nice place only if someone could just make sure it’s clean so guests don’t fall sick. We were and are still very unhappy with this experience. I’m giving Manchester a break.
