Beautiful, peaceful setting. Accommodation was everything we could have asked for. Fantastic breakfast. Lovely host who even showed us the chickens who had laid our breakfast eggs! Would recommend 100%!

Breakfast was very nice. Oldfields is a very pleasant Victorian house and the ambience is "comfortable." Proprietor was very warm and helpful!

I was surprised to see the relative difference in costs of lodgings between Bath and Winchester before I arrived--nearly twice as much for similar accommodations. Not the fault of Oldfields, but the nature of the industry, I guess. (I much preferred Winchester after a day in each city.)

The bathroom wasn’t the worst I've ever used, but the longer I stayed the worse it got in terms of wet floors etc. The room was incredibly hot and the window was limited.

Lacking in some areas, no option of cooked breakfast and was a struggle to find as wrong postcode on booking.com so we went to the wrong location, when driving in Oban can be difficult as one way systems and steep narrow streets are hard to navigate, the postcode needs correcting on booking.com, the receptionist at the hotel even commented on how other guests had issues finding location😞

Run down, poorly maintained with poor quality and inadequate attempt to improve the rooms. Short staffed with no management available. Despite asking in advance we were not provided with the code to the hotel entrance and consequently were unable to access the hotel in the evening after the staff had finished their breakfast and cleaning duties.
