Positive section of review
Stayed here with a group of friends on a short tour of the west country. Overall we found this a reasonable overnight stay. Our rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were engaging and friendly. We ate in the Bardolino restaurant in the evening, which is actually in the health club a short walk from the hotel. Breakfast was up to standard too, so all good there too.

The hotel was a little disjointed.. our rooms could only be accessed from the lobby/bar/restaurant area by quite a walk and 2 lifts.. or by going outside and along.. be advised if you have some mobility problems. But the big issue which caused us to be grumpy was the £7.50 parking charge for each motorbike.. yep.. each bike, same as a big car.. so we had 4 bikes in a bay next to a single Range Rover.. we pay £30 for a parking space, they pay £7.50... should we have moved each of our bikes into individual bays..? we aren't so mean.. bad show.

They don't serve breakfast which for me is not a problem. I requested a rear bedroom as they are quieter, however I was given a front room. I found the traffic / trams too noisy. As I booked well in advance I was disappointed.

Everything was provided - tea, coffee, sugar, milk, and WINE. It was almost like staying at a friend’s place in that one was immediately made to feel comfortable.

Location was great for me. Loved the size of the fridge and all the extras that was there eg hair dryer, iron etc. it was clean and well laid out.

The bathroom just needs a few extras in. So there was no toilet roll holder so toilet roll had to stay on side of sink. No towel hook so had to put towel either on toilet seat or throw over the shower. No hook for clothes in there. I really don’t like putting clean clothes on toilet seat so had to hook everything I could on the door handle not ideal. Also no hook for coat. These are all things that are easy to fix and will cost next to nothing. Also I was given the wrong lock box details took a while to get sorted and I was concerned that if I left the key card in there while I stayed someone might be able to get into the room so just took the key with me.
