Very good location. Town well served by public transport and buses just across road from hotel. Taxi to Newcastle takes 10 mins, less than £10. Free parking outside hotel. Reception staff really friendly and helpful Good sized room with plenty of storage for clothes and bags. Bathroom with shower and bath and good sized bed which was very comfortable. Nice restaurant and separate bar area with a lovely mezzanine seating area Good choice of freshly cooked breakfast options alongside cereals etc.

Beautiful place, spacious rooms, spotlessly clean and perfect for a young family. Little extras like toddler toys and travel cot made our stay even better. The garden is stunning too, with views of deer and rabbits on your doorstep! We came to visit Paulton's Park and it was perfectly located for that, only approximately 15min away by car.

Love this hotel. Feel like home. Spacious room. They provide a kettle along with coffee and tea. The location is the best! Close to bus stop, underground and attractions. Many Halal restaurants in this area are open until midnight.

Staff were a bit casual. Asked for toilet seat to be fixed and wasn’t. Breakfast was supposed to be at 8, but on one day no-one appeared till 8:15 - no explanation, no apology.

The third bed was too small in height. If your child or 3rd visitor has a normal height it is impossible to sleep there. The room was clean in general, but in details it needs attention. The second staircase is too narrow. 24hrs before our arrival they asked for a guarantee of 100£ (refundable). Even though we book our stay 1 week earlier, they did it 24hrs before without considering if we already started our trip. The guarantee refunded 1 week later, after our email. They send entrance details just a few hrs before arrival, causing some stress during the flight. Communication is very typical, not friendly at all.

Advertised as spa hotel, but no area to relax at poolside or relaxation room. Additional bar charges added to bill which had to be investigated before reimbursed.

If you are unlucky you are going to be in big trouble if you book apartments managed by Carlton Living like the experience I had. 1. Lockbox key collection took an hour to collect the key with my wife standing in the road with the luggaga for an hour, in the end got the wrong room key. Called carltonliving cutomer service 10 times to get this sorted to end up in the wrong room. Call goes to reception and somebody will call you when they have time, till then you are on roadside , in rain and darkness. 2. toilet flush did not work..nobody came to fix in 3 nights. we had to do things outside in shops. could not sleep in the room due to stink, slept in corridor ad stairs. The property refunded 25%. Booking.com. customer service was of no help to get another room, as they directed me to property manager 3. smallest room I have ever lived, no lift, narrow staircase , difficult to take big luggage. If possible dont book . Our london stay got screwed.

I was given the keys and told my room was ready at 3pm I went to the room and the room wasn't even cleaned from the previous person staying there .then took the one "cleaner over a hour to clean the room if u can call it cleaning . There was a broken bed in the room that I had to sleep on . The night shift manager is always very rude and patronizing. Like you shouldn't be complaining.. the whole place needs a good deep clean its disgusting. For the price you pay.
