Everything was clean, modern, and felt safe. The host video-called us to guide us to the accomodation parking, as the road was closed due to upgrades, this was very kind. Although, it would have been useful to know about this detour in the pre-arrival message exchange beforehand.”

  Second time staying at the Parkgate and so glad we returned. From the moment we arrived we were greeted warmly by friendly and welcoming staff. We decided to upgrade to a suite upon arrival and this was a great decision! The suite was beautiful. Exceptionally clean and comfortable with great facilities. Quality bedding, towels, toiletries and refreshments, everything has been thought of which made the stay just perfect. Breakfast was lovely, great choices and again the staff were friendly and helpful. A fabulous hotel.

  Location was perfect just 2 streets from the harbour. Smashing friendly and welcoming pub opposite. Shop, Chinese and chip shop in the next street. The cottage was spotlessly clean. Bed was so comfortable and it was so useful having a washing machine and fully equipped kitchen. Owners had thought of everything you may need to make your stay comfy including tea and coffee and plenty of clean towels.

  Bath and shower spotless.. Only downside for me was that the bathroom was situated downstairs with no upstairs loo. There is no garden- just a 1.5 metre courtyard. Everything else was just perfect.

  The hosts were amazing, they helped a lot before, During and after my stay. They answered nearly immediately and even organized a gas cylinder for my backpacking trip (because I arrived Saturday evening after closing hours of the local stores). The room was really nice, clean and had everything I needed! Thanks again for having me!

  Really loved staying here, the staff were all really polite and checking in at the pub was really easy, then a short walk across to the hotel itself. The room was very nice clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable too. The dinner/breakfast that we ate at the pub was delicious!

  Workman staying at the property was very helpful without his help and kindness it would have been a terrible experience, on a plus side the bed in the bedroom was extremely comfortable.

  The ceiling in the lounge area was leaking making a wet patch on the carpet, had I known it was up seven flights of stairs I would never have booked it, the apartment was located in the attic and felt somewhat cramped with the sloping ceiling.

  The hotel was very conveniently placed to reach the train station and to walk into the town centre

  The room wasn't refreshed every day; we had to ask for replacement coffee, tea etc (we weren't told that we would have to request these); beds weren't made or bathroom wiped round; there was no wardrobe space - just a hanging rail over the cupboard that contained the kettle etc ( if we had used the kettle where it was placed we would have steamed our clothes)
