One of six lodges built up the side of a hill and overlooking Loch Leven. We stayed in ‘Rowan’ and had a wonderfully quiet, comfortable and enjoyable two-night stay. It was warm, well-equipped, fairly well lit and had everything needed for the preparation of simple meals (we dined out on the first night, and had a picnic supper the second). Good parking beside the friendly and helpful owner’s house (also a B&B). One mile from Ballachulish with its supermarket, tourism office and two or three eateries, and a bit further again from the village of Glencoe with a few more eateries. The Glencoe Visitor Centre is well worth a visit. It proved to be a good base for Glencoe, Fort William, Banavie and Glenfinnan Viaduct. Our dog loved it … as did we.

Great location, nice area, easy to get to & convenient for tube. Clean, very spacious accommodation and nicely decorated. Well equipped with thoughtful, quality amenities- toiletries, coffee, tea, bottled water etc plenty of towels, and loo roll, hairdryer, ironing board etc. Good quality beds. Good water pressure for very decent shower! Secure lobby entrance, and secure parking available. Good communication in advance.

Second bedroom on the smaller side (vs very spacious master) but still plenty of wardrobe storage and twin beds. Would suggest zip and link to connect these/convert to king as an option.

My partner and I had a fantastic stay at the Sandhaven. Perfect location, very comfortable room, great breakfast (even catering to vegans like myself), onsite parking and Martine and John are just the most wonderful hosts. Thanks for everything.

Location, very clean, WiFi, comfortable bed, we stayed in the attic annex and continental breakfast was included in the price in Brambles cafe, friendly welcome from staff

The table and chairs for eating were a little inadequate for dining and placed under the eaves, beware of limited headroom in places, I hit my head quite badly on getting up from one of these chairs. The containers for the cutlery and sugar sachets on the cafe tables needed cleaning.

There’s a good Chinese takeaway across the road

Mattress fit for the bucket- very uncomfortable. Breakfast cold and bacon almost welded together. Not worth £85 for my 1 night stay. Would I stay again?…. Not on your Nelly!
