Positive section of review
The place was a stop over to Portsmouth so we needed somewhere to stay overnight. The area was quiet and met all our needs, with secure parking and you had the choice to bring and prepare dinner yourself or order some in, which we did thanks to some advice from the people who run Chambers Place. We had a small child with us and she had plenty to keep them occupied. Also, we had our dog with us and were warned that there was free roaming chickens etc so we did keep her on the lead. It was nice to be greeted by them in the morning.

This cannot be changed, the roof is very sloped due to the accommodation being on the first floor so if you're not carefully you do bang your head. This did not detract from the stay and we will happily stay there again.

Great location, central to everything - shops, cafes, restaurants, cathedral, racecourse … Lovely apartment with a lot of thought for detail and what matters ie. Large wine glasses and coffee mugs, bath towel, nice bathroom products and extra cleaning amenities. Balconies were great with a view of the Main Street and the deep copper bath was huge. Overall was a great apartment and we had a fab weekend at the Chester races.

The glowing auto green light in the bedroom ceiling at night kept me awake and couldn’t be turned off. Plenty of mirrors but insufficient lighting for makeup application. The buskers standing right outside the apartment with an amplifier until 10pm each night were so loud and intrusive if you want a quiet space. Perhaps curtains would buffer this a little?

The owner was amazing friendly, helpful, polite and made us feel very welcome. The bed was so do comfortable the room was clean with lovely condiments ie tea coffee biscuits and more ,fantastic selection of breakfast and fresh fruits and juices in the fridge, I would highly recommend this hotel

Beautiful hotel in lovely grounds and picturesque location but close to Lincoln Town Centre. The best of both worlds! Our single rooms were cosy, quiet and very comfortable. Breakfast was lovely too. We'd stay again.
