  Breakfast was freshly prepared using lots of locally sources and/or homegrown ingredients. Interesting selections available, such as shakshuka, garden greens with a poached egg, sourdough pancakes, etc. The breakfast room was in a conservatory overlooking the lovely garden with views out to the mountains.

  We had a long hard think and cannot think of anything that could be done better. The guys have set up a top class bed and breakfast establishment.

  Location. Just outside the city walls, and right next to a bus stop.

  Some minor plumbing issues resulted in faint noise from the drains throughout the day and night. Somewhat thin walls. None of this ended up being a big problem, and I slept well regardless.

  Unfortunately they were jet washing the block paving car park during our stay. This restricted parking and I had to park next to the area they would be cleaning the next day. They were using a very big generator to power the jet wash, the generator was noisy so we had to close our bedroom window. The weather was quite warm and there is no air conditioning and our room was a bit stuffy. The jet washing started at 9am. My car was splattered with dirt from the jet washing. The hotel apologised for the inconvenience but said it needed to be done. Slightly perturbed to see that the bin in our bathroom was labelled “no sharps”. The hotel residents share the restaurant with the users of the attached sports centre. Not very pleasant when some people didn’t shower after their excercise and sat at the table next to us at breakfast in their gym kit soaked in sweat.
