What a fabulous apartment! There’s a few apartments in the house and they’ve been refurbished to a really high standard. They’re a contemporary style and ours was really well furnished. It was quite spacious and well kitted out. It’s really centrally located for everything in the village. Steve and Angela who run it are great and we’d been able to message them before our stay with questions and they always replied really quickly and were super helpful. There’s is a ca parking space per apartment in the back which is really useful for Coniston as it’s not so easy to park there in the height of the summer. We absolutely fell in love with Coniston and we will definitely return. Would certainly recommend a stay here.

Great location, lovely and clean and had everything you need for a stay - tea/coffee selection, water, biscuits and toiletries. Room was compact but fine for a couple. Owner was lovely and really helpful. There is a communal kitchenette that you can use. The fridge was handy. Also had glasses and a microwave etc, should anyone need them. We noticed from some reviews that there was mention of noise. We didn’t find this a problem (back, top floor room) but earplugs were provided.

This was a return visit to the Bear, that says it all really. We have family in the area & this has been such a good find for when we're down visiting them. Great breakfast, comfy bed, lovely & quiet. See you next time.

Exactly what you expect from this chain. Well appointed rooms with a bath which is always a nice option to have. Good WiFi, smart TV, comfy bed and pillows. Breakfast was nice as usual.

The purpose of our trip was not a happy one unfortunately. The staff could not have made us feel more at home. I hope to return in happier circumstances in the future.

Nothing. Worth mentioning that We had booked a table for dinner but due to a glitch there was no record. That was very quickly rectified and we enjoyed a lovely meal despite the pub being packed for quiz night. We were very appreciative of this.

Location once I found it. I drove round in circles looking for the car park because I couldn’t see the hotel signs. Signage to the hotel could be better.

Close to family sp location was good, breakfast was very nice, room was good after changing from one that had hardly any working plug points
