Positive section of review
WI-FI worked well. The property was in the location we required and there was good off road parking. There was a great pub and other facilities close by. There was plenty of space in the accommodation. There was plenty of storage space in the lodge. It is very peaceful and quiet in the lodge. We saw deer and birds from the lodge. We didn’t see our hosts during our stay. We couldn’t classify this as outstanding accommodation, however it was adequate.

The shower in the bathroom didn’t work. This was problematic for us as we were two couples plus we weren’t informed until the day before arrival, we weren’t offered any compensation for the shower not working. The towels were old and slightly worn. The property wasn’t very clean for our stay, for example there were hairs in the bath. The kitchen equipment was basic. There were no instructions for the kitchen equipment, the fire, the TV’s, rubbish disposal or recycling. In our extensive experience when paying this price for a 3 night stay in self catering accommodation there is usually a welcome pack provided.

House was warm and clean and ideal for our visit to Nevis Range/World Cup Mountain Biking. Beds comfortable, nice shower (over bath) and good to have private parking.

It was expensive for 3 days. The heating system was very hard to understand and the instruction manual did not help - we got the heating on but no idea how we did it! Lounge area was not very relaxing just felt like two large sofas had been put in with no thought to layout. Couldn't possibly site on them and watch the TV, wall mounted behind a door.

Beautiful hotel and stunning interior, the room was a bit dated but a lovely comfortable bed. Really nice touch having a dog bowl and treats and a bed left for our dog

If you want an honest (cleaner then I would like it to be) review.. keep reading. They didnt send me any information for the access to the property, including the code to get in. When i rang to speak to someone to grant me access... the person I got was rude, he was unwilling helping and sighed heavily down the phone whilst doing so. During the concert that i was attending alone, they cancelled my booking, didnt tell me they cancelled my booking and booked someone else in. So when I got back to the property at 2am, my codes didnt work. So I an ALONE 28 year old female.. was locked outside (even though my stuff was in the draws inside) in an area I dont know, no relations or friends in the are to be able to fall back on. And when I was speaking to him, he told me that it was me who cancelled it.. even though I was at a gig at the time it was cancelled and my phone was dead at the time, and the fact on my app it stated that "the booking was cancelled by the property". He was extremely rude throughout the call, didnt appologise for the inconvenience caused once!.. no offer of helping to find me somewhere appropriate to stay at. So for my safety, the best he could offer was the sofa in the communal lounge, in a guest house full of people that I dont know. Then hung up and didnt answer any of the 26 calls made and clearly didnt care that he left an alone 28 year old female unsafe.. even though he has a duty of care for all clients. Disgustingly rude, unhelpful, will cancel your bookings and dont care for your safety in the process of doing so
