When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

We were traveling on May 5th for an event in Cardiff and the hotel was ideally situated for either driving in or ordering an Uber. Best of all, the room prices hadn't been inflated because of the event. The staff were very helpful and friendly and Check in was a breeze. The three rooms were perfect for our requirements and well presented. Unfortunately we didn't have chance to sample the food as we were leaving on the morning of the 6th which was bank holiday Monday. I'm not sure whether the restaurant wasn't open for breakfast because of the bank holiday or whether it doesn't open on Mondays. I would definitely recommend the Wingfield Hotel as a nice stopover for anyone visiting the area.

I can't think of anything negative about our stay other than that we hadn't familiarized ourselves with the 'late entry' entrance and when we arrived back at 12.30pm, we and another two guests were scratching our heads for a couple of minutes. Not really a problem but worth familiarizing yourself as to its location.

Our room in the Mews building was quiet and had very comfortable beds and bedding. At breakfast, there was a very good choice of cooked and cold food available and the sausage and bacon were of high quality. It was nice to have (good) croissants on offer too.

The wash basin was badly and cracked and chipped although it looked fairly new. Expect management are aware and are about to get it replaced but it was a shame to see that in an otherwise nice shower room. Wonder how damage like that can even happen. The coffee was very weak and the taste and texture of the 'fruit juices' were very artificial, like re-constituted mixes. The Full English Breakfast is very much done 'to a price' - ie. just one mushroom, half a tomato, one egg. There was a party of eight next to us and the waitress diligently went round the table three times checking choices. Even then, what came out was not right first time ... Maybe a more visual, 'tick box', order form for the cooked breakfast would make the process easier for everyone?

Friendly and quiet neighborhood with good access to everywhere. It takes 10 minutes to the Thames and you can see Big Ben. Nice and cozy room with fantastic skyline.

The lock to the room is a bit tricky and needs sensible ears when unlocking or locking.

Location was excellent, with access to reasonably priced and convenient car parking. Room was nicely furnished and very clean. Dawn was a very welcoming owner.

Stairs were a little difficult, but that was not a major issue.

The food is super, and the grounds are well maintained and absolutely beautiful to walk around and very welcoming for or fury companions. Very clean

It would be nice breakfast was included in the price

location was easy to find and get to via bus, though it did feel a bit dodgy when I arrived at 9pm in the dark people staying there seemed riendly

It was boiling hot and the tiny usb powered fan just pushed the hot air around even though I told them I was travelling with a pet they put me in a top pod so I had to climb a ladder whilst holding at 16kg dog to get into the pod felt like I was in an MDF coffin

condition of the room was a little worn out could do with a fresh lick of paint and a few minor fixes.

Clean and comfortable. Looks even better than in the pictures. Lots of good walks and close drive to pitlochry.

The toilet wasn't connected to the floor, so it wobbled every time it was used. There was no sign or any contact info for staff to help speak about the issue.

The location. The grounds were small but nice.
Negative section of review
There were marks on the carpet. The room was very stuffy with just a small window. There was no good view outside of the small window - it looked onto a tree and a small building. The bathroom - the toilet lid was missing. The bath had weird repair patches all over the plug hole. The swimming pool had some of the ceiling missing. The pool was very small. The changing room was inadequate. It was very small / shared and led to a bathroom. It was overflowing with dirty towels the whole time. The staff had to be actually instructed on how to replace cards properly. So not properly trained. The breakfast was ok for £12.50 each. I paid for this myself for me and my partner (not the other way around unlike the rest of the guests) so I get to say what was right or wrong rather than smile like I love having a crappy time as brown people want less than white people as we don't know any better or deserve the service or quality without having to 'ask' for a normal level of quality when white people do not.
