The house was amazing, plenty of space. Very clean and right next to the beach. Comfy sofas and 4 balconies. We loved having 4 bathrooms, no waiting your turn for the shower or loo. Lovely to find tea coffee, milk and prosecco waiting for us on arrival. The beautiful accomodation really made our stay special.

The dishwasher was full when we arrived, so had to empty it before we could use anything. 2 saucepans had been put away with dried on food stuck to them, so had to wash them before using them. The bed I slept in (top floor with en suite) was very hard. Area was a bit more run down than I was expecting. Building site next door,(we had been warned there was building work going on, but hadnt realised it was quite such a massive project) but we were lucky as they didnt work over the weekend. lots of run down, delapitated buildings around the town area.

Self check-in and check-out worked just fine. Didn't see a single member of staff but didn't need to. This is not a luxury establishment but was clean and comfortable. Room even had iron and ironing board which was handy.

Some noise from other guests. Prices for hotels in Edinburgh have gone crazy. This was the cheapest option but still seemed a bit expensive for what you get.

The room was good plenty of storage space for clothing. The evening menu and bar snacks excellent and staff were pleasant and made time to talk with you. Location good for visiting Three Counties Showground

The bed was extremely hard, but this was sorted out with staff assistance. The full English breakfast was rather greasy.

From arrival in reception, the welcome was brilliant by all staff, we felt very special along with our little dog Ruby, nothing was too much trouble .

The only setback was the food. the meal on Saturday night was not very hot, breakfast on Sunday was undercooked, Sunday lunch. Beef was very fatty and couldn't chew it, I informed the staff he only charged for 1 dinner, and he said that they had a problem with the meat. More selection on the menu maybe 🤔

We slept in the rooms on the last floor, that might not representent the experience other guests have in the lower floors.. - Poor service: you have to chase the personnel to get anything (including your change when they take your money for the sleeping bags). - the walls are super thin, you litterally hear everything (every snore, every fart, every throw up) coming from our drunk neighbors (the hôtel's of course not responsible for their behaviour, they are however responsible for poor isolation). - The whole concept of asking customers to pay extra for sleeping bags instead of sheets IS really strange for a hotel. - Poor value for money. Ou experience ressembles more the experience of a hostel than a hotel, and we were clearly overcharged (56 pound + 10 pounds for sleeping bags).
