  I loved the old grandeur - beautiful. What a gorgeous space to sit and relax in . Location - perfect with a stunning view . Large room and bathroom very clean . Staff very helpful especially Vanessa on reception who went above and beyond to help me with my luggage , I couldn’t have manage without her , such a helpful pleasant young woman an absolute asset to the hotel . I will definitely be back ❤️

  Our 2nd time staying at Alvamere and we're already booked in for September. Excellent base for running and walking. 5 minute walk into Keswick centre. House is well equipped and cosy.

  There isn't anything we don't like about the house. The stairs are steep but this is nothing unexpected. We had no problems parking within sight but I can imagine it gets more difficult in the height of summer but, again, that's to be expected in this busy town.

  We had come down from Scotland to attend a Friend’s Funeral so Location was close to the Family

  No breakfast at all & no know where even to buy any within walking distance. No Lounge for us to sit in to await pick up, all locked up & no staff about at all. Had to use side entrance. Bathrooms need bleached & bring shower gel & tissues & milk for tea/cofffee. Found Previous customer sweets & glasses left in drawer. Certainly not worth £90 per night
