Positive section of review
Perfectly located just a few minutes walk from the centre of town with an ocean-facing bar and terrace. The hotel is immaculately clean and well presented with friendly and accommodating staff. We tried out the "thermal experience" spa there and it was actually much better than expected! The outdoor hot tub overlooking the sea was great to relax in. Will happily stay there again the next time we venture to the west coast!

The shower in our room is wet room style, with a small screen door that doesn't quite reach the floor, so be prepared for water being everywhere after a couple of uses in the morning! (the staff do a fantastic job of tidying the rooms though so it's only a small issue) Also, we don't generally book breakfast as part of our stays as we like flexibility, but were tempted to have it in the hotel one morning until seeing it was £18 pp if we wanted it there, which is a little insane when there are so many brilliant local cafes on the doorstep!

Very welcoming host. Funny as hell. Great location for us (close to Royal st George’s) and a short drive to Sandwich with quite a few restaurants and pubs. For two persons in a family room the rooms had plenty of space as I got a wide double bed on my own😀. Nice bathroom. Perfect breakfast. Easy to park in the street.

Location is superb. Only 6 min walk from Tram stop and two stps to Princes Street. The character and decor of the building is lovely. It's great to be able to drop off bags before check in if arriving early and also they allow bags to be left supervised after check out if departing late.

Single glazed qindows means traffic noise is a little annoying but it's not heavy traffic on that street. Ensuite in our room was a little small

The location of this hotel is unbeatable, right on the river and the spa and sauna were amazing. We sat in the restaurant in the evening and felt like we were really on holiday. The breakfast was also great, lots of choice. And the bedroom was huge !

All the staff were amazing, Rahul on reception was excellent and very attentive, the room was very clean and spacious and a welcome site after a day of walking around beautiful Bristol, the hotel is so well positioned and can't wait to go back

Gnats buzzing around bar and in rooms, previous occupants underwear left in drawer. Breakfast not great, cheap ingredients and a toaster that barely warmed the bread
