We had such lovely time at the Weir hotel. The staff are absolutely exceptional, they made us feel so welcome and comfortable, a super pleasant bunch. The room had a selection of teas and coffee, nice still and sparkling water, biscuits… nice bathroom products. The food was lovely, with massive portions, served so quickly though they were very busy on a sunny Friday evening. We absolutely loved it, a big thank you.

I loved the location and the intimate atmosphere of the hotel. Location was perfect - still close to everything, tube station just around the corner and away from the busy area.

The breakfast was nice, but short variety. As I stayed 6 days, could be more explored

Excellent breakfast and we also enjoyed a very good meal in the bar one evening. The staff were helpful and very welcoming.

Our room was not in the main building and was at ground level. We did not want to have a window open as we were so close to the car park and people were walking by the bathroom window.

breakfast coffee was awful , breakfast on Saturday poor Sunday adequate and avoided coffee and went for tea.

the breakfast lacked lustre

The location was excellent and the room was very nice. Very clean and useful items available in the room.

The shower was overly complicated. A hot and cold tap would have been a better option for non-technical people. The tub was very slippery and a low threshold shower would have been a better option for older guests rather than climbing into a bathtub. The restaurant prices were silly expensive, plus a 10% gratuity? Over 80 pounds for a dinner for 2. We could not find a space to park in the hotel.

The location was beautiful and the room very nicely done out. The thermapool was also a real treat.

We were disappointed that the room was so small and there wasn't anywhere to relax and read other than the bed. It did seem very expensive.

Although there was lifts, the we still had to walk down and up some stairs to get to our room which was a bit difficult with a buggy.

The apartment is located within walking distance of Edinburgh Castle and the Old Town.
Negative section of review
The room was on the third floor, and there were no elevators in the building to help with the baggage.

Friendly staff, good location and a clean room.
