The decor and furnishings in public area were spotless, generous and sumptuous. The room was spotless, good size with everything you need and a very comfortable bed During breakfast we noticed how efficient the staff were. The staff were constantly Working but without the guests really noticing because they were so efficient. Wide selection of good quality food for breakfast options. Even the carpet in the breakfast area looked clean which you wouldn't expect in a food area. Reception staff were really helpful and polite. All staff were dressed impeccably. The uniforms were very smart. Location couldn't have been better to access park and ride into York.

There was nothing we could say could be improved. Possibly a couple more picnic benches on the lawn for sitting outside during warmer weather.

did not have dinner (or breakfast) as staying for the Edington Music Festival but the dinner menu looked good. The bar staff were very good at getting me a glass of red wine at 10.00ish when i arrived back and were very pleasant.

Very thoughtful welcome box of goodies. Tranquil area, just right for some well needed R&R. Only managed to bang my head once on the beam over the bed :-)

The breakfast was decent full English and was freshly cooked that morning. The tables are worn out and need to be replaced due to tables being wonky and broken.

The general cleanliness was ok could've been better. Had a smoky smell as if people smoke in the property. The entire hotel needs a refurbishment as it feels like living in the 70s. As a new startup hotel however so would expect this will be a gradual development.

The wifi is terrible. The bed was uncomfortable. The ensuite was tiny. Majority of staff were friendly. The cooked breakfastwas good but the fruit, toast and cereal selection was poor. Do not turn up early even by 30 mins your reception will be frosty.
