Our host was very nice & really helpful. This is a lovely apt., well equipped, with great views of the canal. It is spacious, with two bathrooms. The position, while out of central London, is very good and accessible by quick rail. It has a gym as well. But it is need of repair in many areas.
Negative section of review
Needs lots of repairs; lights, towel rails, balcony door doesn’t close properly, lights, microwave, no dryer & looking worn in places. Also, there is noise from the railway etc., probably because the double glazing isn’t working, as the sliding door doesn’t shut. So for the money, we think renovations need to be done.

The apartment was exceptional, the layout and general comfort was great. It is well appointed for self catering, the kitchen is really good. Once we worked out the heating it was also warm inside. Bed was comfortable. It was a really spacious apartment

The location was a long walk out of Inverness, we believed it was a 20 min or so walk , but double that. The driveway is challenging, we had a Mazda C5 and with te mirrors folded in we had only a few inches to spare sneaking through. We were told not to park in the front car park ( avoiding the narrow drive way ) as it wasn't part of the property, but everyone from the B&B the car park belonged to parked where we were told to park ? . The gardens the cottage looks out to towards the river, like wise belongs to the Main building B&B and was a bit of a mess. Pile of junk to the right, washing lines for the B&B ahead and long grass and weeds. Certainly not reflective of the cottage which was pristine. Be aware the main building of which the cottage is part of is for sale.

Location from canal & good pub next door. The room was clean & the staff were nice & helpful. There was a problem with the mattress in room 20. We reported it & hopefully now it will have been sorted.

The breakfast option is 'Grab & Go' & the pub next door doesn't open until 10am. As we were walking the length of the canal with overnight stops, a good breakfast to start the day is always preferable. 🙂

It was a hard walk up to the top floor. Building is old and needs some work and redecorating. But it had character and clean

Close enough to town centre. Lovely decor with impressive extra little touches. Very clean. Did not eat in the restaurant so cannot comment.

WiFi could be better and phone signal bad in the hotel but that’s minor.

It was a really nice flat, with easy access to the tube and the shops.

The bed in the back bedroom was a little too firm for me, but that may just be personal preference.

Quirky old inn, but well provisioned accommodation. Lovely staff.
Negative section of review
Like all old places, a bit creaky, but that is part of its charm. Just beware if you arrive before the pub opens you need to call a number. (Tricky for travellers with data only plans).

Very friendly staff. The restaurant is very elegant looking.

The rooms needs updating and the electrical cables can be better hidden. There is a water leak in one of the room
