The location of the hotel was fantastic . You just walked out the door straight into the busy shops and fantastic places to eat. The tea shop in the same street as the entrance was superb try the scones with the cream and jam or the afternoon tea selection. And please do not miss the guided tour around the cathedral and streets for 90 minutes great knowledge.

Bed really uncomfy, we both felt like we hadn't slept at all. I left with back ache. No wardrobe just a rail which interferes with walking past the end of the bed, I kept knocking the hung jacket on to the floor. Not a nice view from the bathroom window. Seagulls attacking bins outside at sunlight, extremely loud. Then the bin wagon emptied bins at 6.40am, again extremely loud. Bottles been emptied in to bins at around 7.30 am by other businesses. No handrail at top part of stairs, which made exiting scary and uneasy especially when going on slate steps. Noisy drainage waste when room above let their bath go. shower waste noisy when we used our basin. Room narrow and gave impression of a little claustrophobic. No decaf coffee and what coffee was there was cheap. NO CHOCOLATES even though it's in your advert. Why say it and don't do it, and I suppose it was in the price. Had to be Out of room at 10am so found ourselves walking Windermere with our bags to find a cafe for breakfast, which cost us £36.00 not your fault, However we could of stayed and wish we had at the Macdonald hotel which includes breakfast, spa and a pool for the same money, if you include breakfast. Room long and narrow. Definitely would not stay again nor recommend.

Access road treacherous. Only 2 Pillows on the bed. Welcome pack extremely poor. Parking dangerously tight. Toilet area tight and hot tap that turned the wrong way and loose fitting.
