The main English breakfast was average but the extra cereal fruit etc was nice ,the room was nice clean and the view of our car was great , the garden and the lake was peaceful

One breakfast was good as we chose something that was not fried or left to dry out. .Poached eggs and toasted rolls were tasty.

Cooked vegetarian breakfast was terrible, had been kept warm so hard and unappetising, left hash browns as they were so hard could not even cut into them and very greasy. Dinners on both nights were dreadful, worst fish and chips I have ever had, left batter as too thick over a very small amount of bad quality fish. The roast dinner was even worse, beef not chewable and poor quality veg mostly frozen. Little or no customer services, we had to ask for everything or help ourselves, most staff were not interested in making sure we had what we needed. Room not attended to, if we needed anything to do with out rook we had to go to reception when they were available.

Lovely modern apartment with everything needed for our stay. Great bathroom, bedrooms and kitchen. Ideally situated

Not the apartment that the images show on booking.com site, there was no balcony and looking at the building itself non of the apartments have a balcony. Living room very dark because of small windows but a good size. We expected it to be on a higher floor (because if the non existent balcony) but it was at the very top of the building, which we were not made aware of as it’s not in the write up, no good for older people.

It’s was clean, staff were friendly and had intentions on helping. It was good location.

We were there to attend a wedding. As we went to get ready we noticed the shower handle was not properly attached and then once on, the temperature was boiling hot (not possible to get in). My husband had to wash over the sink. We informed reception who advised we could have another room but as we were on our way out to the wedding we didn’t have time to change. On arrival back, the owner advised the shower had now been fixed. We immediately tested it but found the handle was now on (so much so it now did not turn) but the boiling temperature remained the same. Luckily we were only there for one night (and showered the morning before arriving) however was frustrating to not be able to shower the morning we woke there. Breakfast was also not available at the property so we had to go to the local travel lodge to get some. Whilst I believe it is important to support small businesses, I do wonder whether we would have been better to stay at the travel lodge, have a working shower and breakfast provided.
