  Hotels are ridiculously expensive on the NC500 so we thought we would save a bit when/where possible. For GBP60, this was perfect for one night. Wouldn't want to stay a week but more than fine for a night. Nice welcoming host. Room large enough for two. The beds were comfy and that's all that matters. You got your own shower/WC outside the room which could be a little inconvenient as you had to put on a housecoat to get to but hey, not really that big a big deal. Shower was good. Small window but able to open for fresh air. Free "invitation to pay" parking across the street. Decent Indian restaurant next door open til 10pm.

  The continental breakfast was ample & took the stress away of having to bring stuff with you or go out and purchase items upon arrival. The location was perfect for us & the host was welcoming & helpful. The accommodation was spacious & modern with lots of nice little touches such as the plants & the luxurious bathrobes. All in all this was a little gem & I would recommend Spring Cottage to anyone.

  With the exception of a few hooks on the bathroom door there wasn’t anywhere to hang your clothes & coats etc. The adjoining court yard would benefit from some restoration but it’s evident lots of upgrading on the cottage & adjoining Hall has already taken place to an excellent standard.
