Great location above the Gunwharf Quays shopping centre. All the high end shops are there. Free parking in the centre car park for first 24 hours. Bit of a walk to the hotel entrance ( 100m) from underground car park. But there is a drop off spot outside entrance - left hand turn between units before you drive into shopping car park. Best to unload big bags there if you have them. Very good breakfast options and plenty of tables available. Staff very good too. Very handy to ferry terminal to IOW. Approx 400m walk to Historic Dockyard. Plenty of dinner options at Gunwharf Quays .

Not sure if the A/C was working.

The single room was small but have all amenities needed , including a small desk fan. The room is a bit stuffy if fan is not switched on as the windows cannot be opened ( my room is on ground level) next to car park. Room was quiet though as I didn't hear the car sounds. The hotel is 20-min walk to Bowness where there are many restaurants and can cruise on Lake Windermere.

Hotel is 15-min walk from Windermere train station. So not so convenient for those travel by train. I see most other guests seem to drive and the hotel has quite a number of parking lots.

My wife and I were delighted to find this little hotel for our Wedding Anniversary. There are only three bedrooms and ours was delightful, with views over the river. The staff were excellent and attentive throughout our stay.

It would be hard to improve on this location and the amenities at this hotel. We were left wondering whether service would have been as excellent if the bar area and gardens had been full of guests (as apparently happens when the weather is fine). However, this is a lovely small hotel in an excellent location.

Very well appointed and clean flat. Clear and positive communications from the owners. Excellent location for touring the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. Lovely little market town location.

One tiny negative was rather squishy mattresses on the double bed. No other criticism.

Breakfast and location are excellent. Staff lovely and rooms clean. Lovely outdoor seating area/garden when weather is sunny.

The spa needed some basic remedial servicing to make it properly usable. Loft room was too hot and radiators generally need to be turned off or down when it’s 22 degrees outside. An extra £10 per night for the parking when booking with Booking.com was unnecessary

Proximity to north terminal through hotel. Soft beds and pillows.

Uninspiring room. Everything as basic as possible. Shampoo dispensers not miniatures.

Having been out on Sunday afternoon with relatives we returned to the Inn to find it was ‘CLOSED’! at 5.45 pm. As we would have liked a drink and sit in the garden to finish our nice weekend we were bitterly disappointed. On telephoning the ‘emergency number’ posted on the front door to enquire? I was told rather rudely that the hours were subject to change by the management and that our room price did not include the facilities of the Inn!!! So why did they afford us breakfast?!!! A nice weekend spoiled by selfish actions of the owners/management. This must put locals off on going there for a Sunday tea/dinner if they don’t know if the place will be open or not. Such a shame as I really liked the place but on this basis I will not return
