It’s always a great place to go and your breakfast evening meal and intertainment and room prices are fantastic . But was a bit disappointed with our evening meal food not so much choice as I am celiac had pepperd pork very hot and nippy so never ate it all also the evening dining room was very busy as result we were not offered eny tea or coffee which I felt we should have been offered but we did not get eny so felt very dry eating food without a drink a bit disappointed after last year the service was fantastic so felt a little let down this time round apart from this it’s good value and the staff are all lovley

Lack of checking to see if customers had a drink it was a bit overly busy at tea time and felt it was to rushed and nothing to drink with your meal food felt very dry without liquid

Beautiful views from this very roomy cottage which is ideally placed for Beamish Museum and touring Northumberland. It was quiet and the neighbours were friendly. Well equipped, the beds are very comfortable and the bathroom is very well appointed. Great timely communication.

I would suggest a deep clean of the whole kitchen especially the cupboards / fridge as this was definitely not up to standard and let down of the rest of the house. Would recommend blind/nets on front windows in lounge and bedroom and also on doors between kitchen and dining room as it did feel like living in a goldfish bowl so difficult to fully relax.

We loved the situation of the hotel, we loved the fact that we had a room looking on to the Market Place and we really liked the liveliness of the hotel. It had a relaxed yet very busy atmosphere. The staff were great, calm, cool and friendly despite being very busy.

The location was lovely, an obviously popular pub facing the Green, great for a drink in the bar. Our room was spacious, cosy and just the job for a stopover to visit family. In fact, perhaps we were too cosy. We overslept!,

Our only criticism was we had a dog with us which had to be left later on with the family. Yes, the bar area was dog friendly, however the hotel bedrooms weren’t. There are a huge amount of places to stay now that do allow well-behaved dogs, so maybe a couple of ground floor rooms could be provided for that purpose one day.

The location is actually close to a lot of shops which is handy. I felt safe and had no issues. parking was provided with the price. Shower was good. Kitchen facilities were what I needed.

Breakfast wasn’t anything to sing about, especially for the price I paid for a room, I would, at the very least, expect fresh fruit to have with yogurt, instead of tinned peaches :-( Coffee was yuk! Bed wasn’t great, think they should invest in premier inn comfort.
