  Very homely and comfy rooms, with big roomy bathroom. Good water pressure, lovely big beds with nice linen. Well decorated. Gorgeous charming little pub underneath. A great communal kitchen with everything you need. The owner/host was so welcoming and friendly.

  I only booked two days and I was out all day so didn’t have to spend a lot of time there!!!

  Looks very run down, asked for room to be serviced and wasn’t done, bathroom had paint peeling off the ceiling, bath was worn which made it look dirty, Staff had limited knowledge of what they were selling, groups of local males playing pool and using foul language and staff did nothing about it, large group of down and outs drinking opposite the hotel which was off putting all in all don’t go to this hotel!!

  It was centrally located and supposedly had wifi so I could finish my studies.

  Most dreadful experience from the second I walked in the door. Front door was opened by the most dreadful man/ manager/ owner. I have no idea who he was as he never introduced himself. I arrived and just got bombarded with all the rules and threats about losing my deposit for any breakages , and the form to be filled in was far more important than even saying hello or welcome. I then asked him to give me 5 minutes to get my passport out of the bottom of my suitcase ( to fill in passport number on the form)his reply was “ I will outside your room in 5 minutes then to get it” . It was appalling!! Ruined my one night stay! I also was TOLD very abruptly that he will need my credit card to keep back £40 incase of damages, this was supposed to be just a pre authorization and it was immediately debited off my credit card . I informed him of this and he just shrugged saying it’s not his fault it went through immediately. . i still have not been credited. I then had no wifi in my room. I informed him of that too. Once again he shrugged saying “ well everyone else in the building does”. Most disgusting behaviour I have ever seen.

  Heating was too hot. The restaurant temperature was uncomfortable so after eating we took our drinks to sit by an open window in the adjoining room. Staff couldn’t open a window or turn radiator down. The bedroom (no 8) was uncomfortably hot despite radiator being off as bathroom one was even to hot to touch and was on all night.
