Great for location for getting food and chilling in the room. Quiet at night. Slept very well, comfy bed. Staff were lovely when I checked in and made me feel safe as a solo female. One of the only place I’ve checked in where it’s not been said out loud that the room is for one and the room number being spoken out loud for others to hear. It happens all the time BUT did not happen here and put me at such ease.

The room was quite dirty. Nothing that made me want to not stay there but the carpet was quite grubby and lots of hairs in the bathroom that weren’t mine. Both glasses had chipped rims making them u usable and the kettle was filthy.

The hotel itself was absolutely gorgeous, the lobby was magnificent, the design really is awe-inspiring. The staff were so helpful, friendly and very polite. The breakfast was delicious especially the sausages. The room was very spacious for us and had everything we needed. We were very satisfied with the service we received, will definitely be staying here again when we are in Cardiff!!

There was no remote for the TV, also other guests were slamming the stairway/hallway door outside our room, we couldn't get much sleep because of this, we took care to be as courteous as possible.

Air con in room was not very effective. Room was too warm. Our room was opposite the staff service room and we were woken up at 7am by them talking very very loudly outside the room ☹️ Cheap toilet paper.

We loved the security of the lift and having to use the key card. Great security measure. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean as was the bathroom.

Hotel location was perfect for our visit to Buckingham Palace. All the staff were great from check in to housekeeping. Great breakfast too!

The location is the only thing I liked. Honest. Though at night it is unsafe because its in a dodgy part of town.

1) Rooms. The room i was given hadn't been cleaned properly. The bed sheets and towels had stains. I came down to ask for another room immediately. 2) Cleanliness. The Hallway had a smell like vomit. Made me feel sick. Because the building is air conditioned controlled, the smell circulates and became stronger through the night. 3) Staff. I came down to ask for my room to be changed because the bedsheets and towels had stains on. The staff member at reception, ignored me first while he chose to speak with a couple of ladies who came after me. He spent a considerable amount of time speaking to them whilst still ignoring me and making me wait. I went out for a smoke and came back. He had disappeared. I went to my room and waited a while. When I came back, the staff member said the there was nothing he could do. Later that night, I put the clues together. There was 2 British Pakistanis talking to some white ladies outside. I was stood near them so could hear what they spoke about. The ladies asked the guys back to their rooms for a drink and chat. The staff member, his name is Kieran, didn't like that. I had a scowl on his face. He walked after them and said they couldn't have other guests in each room. When the guys asked why, he said he would call police. I stuck around to see what happened. The police came and KIERAN told them the brown British men were harassing the white British women. I was there, this was not the case and a lie. The brown British men were asked to leave by police because of what Kieran had said. I was shocked that a staff member would make up a lie. I believe this was motivated by him being racist.
