destination reviews from real travellers

How does it work?

  • 1

    It starts with a booking

    It starts with a booking

The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

  • 2

    Followed by a trip

    Followed by a trip

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

  • And finally, a review

    And finally, a review

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

  • Sawit Garden Cottages

    - “Our stay was absolutely fantastic. The staff's hospitality was unparalleled—they went above and beyond to ensure we had a seamless experience from start to finish. Leonk took care of booking our ferry tickets to and from the island and organised pick-up and drop-off at the ferry port, making our journey completely hassle-free. He even dropped us to a beautiful sunset viewpoint for dinner. Additionally, he arranged for a daily taxi driver who expertly organised our daily trips, allowing us to explore the island with ease. We also had great breakfasts here, would recommend the banana pancakes! This place truly is a gem and it was the highlight of our trip, so peaceful and serene. The pool was pristine, and there was a lovely area with sun beds, perfect for relaxing afternoons. Our room was spacious and equipped with a powerful air conditioner, ensuring a comfortable stay even in the heat. One of my friend’s highlights was the staff's willingness to take her on a motorbike trip into town, which was a memorable and fun experience! Their friendliness and dedication truly made our stay special. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and enjoyable island getaway, we can’t wait to visit again.”

  • The Platinum 2 Kuala Lumpur by LUMA

    - “Apartment is huge and new. This luxury for this price is very hard to find anywhere in the world. We were at 43rd floor, excellent view. From Platinum to KL Twin Tower is max 15min walking. Infinity pool has wonderful view to KL and one of the best view to Twin Tower. Yes it could be crowded (day and night until 22h), but this is the reason why pool is there.”

  • Pogodna Apartments

    - “New, modern, clean, well equipped, very nice bathroom and kitchen! Lots of closet space. Quiet!”

  • Village Aparthotel By BOA

    - “The aparto accommodation was great. The location was convenient to be able to walk around the city, close to the Mercado do Bolhão and right by a metro station if needed. Though the checkin is self-completed there were some staff in the shop area (during working hours) to assist with anything if needed. Otherwise the communication before checkin with door codes, etc. was very easy and convenient. The aparto itself was comfortable, clean and quiet. We would recommend this to anyone wanting a nice aparto style accommodation in Porto with nice restaurants close by (for dine-in or takeaway).”

Upon arriving at The Denewood Sara and Kevin made us feel very welcome. On arrival we were shown round — dining room, lounge and bar. The breakfast menu was explained to us; we had never seen such a great menu before, from continental to full English, plus so many other combinations. There is no way you would go hungry. The bedroom had a double bed, washbasin, separate shower and toilet. Added bonuses were a very good hairdryer, a fan, and a small fridge which held a pint of milk, plus two small bottles. Towels and fresh drinking water were provided every day, plus chocolates. Car parking, directly outside the front door, is free. Sandown beach and local shops and restaurants are about five minutes’ walk from the hotel. The stop for buses to Ryde and Brading is at the bottom of the road. Buses for Shanklin, Newport etc can be caught just round the corner in the high street. Would highly recommend this B&B.

Situated an easy 5 minute walk into town, set back from the road in private gardens. There is ample parking at the end of the drive in front of the house. The property is full of character, with a nicely decorated lounge and dinning area. The covered verandah was a nice place for breakfast. A warm greeting when checking in set the tone for the customer service throughout. The room was cozy, but a little tight for space. Hand made biscuits were a thoughtful touch and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast commenced with fresh baked croissant, followed by a well cooked (vegetarian) full English.

Hotel needs upgrading in many common areas. Tv was tiny n old. Inbuilt furniture and doors very shabby n old. Replacement of towels was an ongoing issue. For a 9 nights hotel stay i would have appreciated a fully refurbished room.

The location was good as it was conveniently central. Room was clean and staff were nice :)

    • Negative section of review

Not the most attractive location compared to other parts of bristol, it’s right by the shopping mall. I felt like it was a bit disappointing as we spent more to stay here as it was a 4 star hotel, but I felt like it was quite outdated and not the nicest but fine for what we needed. Also window was quite small in the corner of the room so it was quite dark :’)

3km from city centre. Eating area nearby, and pubs. Main shopping area 3 blocks away.

    • Negative section of review

No parking available, apartment did not meet criteria as per booking.com confirmation. No heating. Double bed with quilt not big enough if there were 2 people. No cleaning equipment, not even a broom to sweep. No table or chairs, no lounge chair to watch tv. Bed was used for eating, tv and sleeping. Windows you can open, but no security if you do so. Only 2 pieces of each item in the cupboards for eating. Ie: cutlery and plates. Very little dishwasher detergent and only sample toiletries. Only 1 small mirror in the bathroom. Had an iron but no ironing board. No clothes dryer, or drying rack for washed clothes. Left 1 day earlier as the front door lock was broken and wouldn't lock. Solo female traveller and felt very unsafe
