The room had everything! It wasn’t large, but somehow managed to fit in a washing machine, fridge, dining table, fan etc etc etc. The communication with the host was exceptional- we left something behind and they quickly let us know and put it somewhere safe for us. They also let us know where to find the washing machine haha

The door to the room was a little tricky - there’s a light switch opposite that made it easier. Don’t forget to turn the key all the way to the right and hold it there when opening

All Staff; proffesional, friendly, helpful, cheerful and chatty. Communial areas, bedroom, towels, linen etc clean. Everything I needed in room provided including Free Wifi. Outlook onto park & sea lovely. Water pressure good, plenty hot water, nice shower, bath & sink.

Cooked breakfast ok, not worth £13.50 charged. Certainly not upto any English Tourist Board star rated as advertised in hotel lobby. Continential unimaginative, with just tinned fruit, cerals & yogurt. Only 'bread' items available was toast. Better value in cafe near by. Silly small cups - large mugs please. Individual UHT milks in bedrooms. Lounge area dark, dull and uninviting. Furniture & facilities all totally adequate but somethings felt a bit tired and in need of an up grade. Bedroom carpet in entrance area thread bear, bath panel broken, toilet pan brown (needed a good dose of bleech) some mold near bath. 'Porch' roof, 'balcany" & flag pole outside my bedroom covered in grim & moss. Outlook onto park & sea spolit when coaches parked in loading bay. Fumes from coachs engines, in room when windows open. Room next to main stairs & lift which was noisy. Traffic on roads also noisy. (But hotel can't help this) This is a grade 2 listed buildng, but no history anywhere. We found the bathroom had very strong drainage smell very off putting.Made contact with receptionist about my concern ,said was aware of the. Problem.May I suggest the installation of a U trap under sink would Hellp to aleavayate most of the problem.as water trapped in bend would blok off odour.

The noise from the street was horrendous the property needs triple glazing. We had the windows closed, and both nighs had an issue with noise between midnight and 3am, so didn't get much sleep. There is a nightclub a few doors down, and once it closed, the street party began ! On the sat night, there was also a function on somewhere close by that we thought we were attending because it was so loud we could hear the DJ and music like we were in the same room. - 2 very bad night sleeps, which spoilt our trip really as we were very tired in the day Also, I didn't like having to provide a photo ID when booking

The first thing that annoyed me is the fact that we did get there early but we was told we can't get into our room until three o'clock now the hotel is virtually empty which I find this is ridiculous most hotels that are busy will ring you to let you know your room is now available and I know for a fact my room was empty for some time! In the rooms are in need of updating badly especially the bathrooms!
