- “Baan Thai House is a really beautiful hotel set in really lovely grounds. We booked 2 rooms which were both absolutely lovely and one of the rooms had the bonus of an outdoor shower. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. We really loved the pool area which was well maintained with plenty of sun beds and a beautiful setting by the river. The staff were wonderful; extremely friendly and very helpful. We booked a sunset river tour through the hotel which was excellent and were dropped off at the night market for food. They also arranged a transfer back to Bangkok too. The hotel is a short tuk tuk or taxi ride to the main sights and we liked the fact it was tucked away in a lovely quiet area surrounded by well maintained gardens and a lovely lake. Would definitely stay here again!”

  Hosts were welcoming, helpful and engaging. The property is very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was chosen the night before by guests and was always beautifully presented, delicious and freshly cooked. It was just over the bridge and a short walk to the centre of Inverness. The Waterfront Pub was a great place to have a drink and enjoy dinner. You made our stay at Inverness most memorable. Thank you to Joy and his wife!

  Positives:- The location is great the Rembrandt is in a lovely position opposite the V&A museum just in between South Kensington & Knightsbridge. South Kensington station is only a 5 minute walk away so you can access other parts of London easily. The breakfast had a nice selection of foods to choose from.

  Negatives:- The room was tiny, the bed just about fit it the room so it was difficult to navigate around, you had to be tactical when opening doors to access parts of the room & the TV didn’t work.The bed however was comfortable & the air con worked well. The bathroom was clean & it had a nice shower, not a problem with hot water. Customer service wasn’t as expected from a 4 star hotel we were offered a free drink in arrival. A free drink for one which made no sense as we were a couple. We were never really greeted whilst walking around the hotel & when attending breakfast we were not shown to our seats or offered any teas or coffees which has been standard in other hotels where we have stayed. When booking the Rembrandt it advertises a pool & gym but doesn’t say that it will charge you a reduced rate of £10 a day to use them as it is not part of the hotel but a Spa facility next door to them so that was misleading.

  The only negative I would give this would be to update the couch as it wasn’t very comfortable to sit on also the rug could do with replacing a new couch and rug would brighten the whole room up.

  The shower needed the mastic redoing. The shower pressure was very low so it was difficult to rinse shampoo out of hair. Although it does look as if work is going on to update the property.
