The stone cottage was set in beautiful grounds with the backdrop of a picturesque country village. It was a home away from home with everything you needed. Owners provided milk and fresh eggs from their free ranging hens to get you started. Communication was excellent with great information about the nearby area.

Plenty of secure onsite parking covered by CCTV inside and out. Clean room, with nice pillows and linen (no spares although I guess you could ask) Good shower pressure, and clean bathroom with complementary toiletries. Open style wardrobe, so no chance of forgetting anything ! Room was very clean !

Breakfast was disappointing, at 8am no tables were laid with cutlery. Very basic selection of hot water + tea bags or filter coffee and water - no fresh orange juice, just apple juice and cranberry, no cereals, fresh fruit or yogurt - no sign of toast / jams etc.. Ordered cooked food from the menu, which was cooked fresh. Staff felt it was a good idea to start cleaning under the nearby tables with a dustpan and brush, cleaning away last nights debris while we were trying to eat... definitely a 4/10 for breakfast - 10/10 for the Chef though - felt pressured into ordering extras from the menu at cost - should be clearer what a room with included breakfast entails. Rooms are noisy in the small hours of the morning from cars revving engines, or shouting - clearly why the CCTV is present. - not helped by room window not closing properly, as the wood frames were rotten, would benefit from some secondary glazing or ideally fixing the windows to deaden the noise. Checkout was non-existent - no body around, no key drop of box, left the key on the bar - noticed a comment was made in Dec 2023 about this, and the inn replied they would resolve.. 4 months on, and still the same.

Travelled for MAN U game. Hotel is around 30mins walk from the stadium and 20min from a tram stop directly to the airport which was very convenient. Hotel was dated but reasonable for the price. Location was perfect with plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes in walking distance

The room was very clean and had everything we needed. Host was very helpful was available if and when needed. Parking was close bye and not to far from the centre of town. Would definitely stay there again.

That I need to keep my doggos on lead within the premises but it is a nature reserve so I understand completely why... I'd just prefer to have a lake where they could be swim freely in the summer when the t° goes pretty high... but again I understand your concern about the wildlife. Also I am not happy about the anglers... I am against animal killings... that includes the so called 'sport'... it made me very sad.... The place is a dream but fishing is disturbing for me....

The bed , the room . We were celebrating our 30th anniversary and were given a disabled room so it was very disappointing with buttons, orange pull alarms disabled bathroom, bed right against window. The bed itself sank in the middle so was not great.
