Breakfast was good and the waitress was very friendly. My room over-looked the lovely big pub garden. Comfy bed. Clean sheets. Bathroom had been refreshed (even though it needed a bit of attention) Good parking near the rooms for my camper van and my brother in laws car and trailer

The room was tired and when I dropped the Venetian blinds as no curtains, they were quite dusty and the cord was missing. The pub closed at 8.30p.m and took last orders for food at 4.45p.m on Sunday afternoons. Both these times I felt were a bit early and we wished we had known in advance! They ONLY served roast dinners, (there were no other choices) so as my family arrived at exactly 4.45 we missed out and drove to another pub 10 minutes away. My sister and husband were on their way to Austria from Cornwall and I was visiting from Chichester, so we chose to meet in Tadley as we thought it was an ideal place to enjoy a meal together and then sit in the bar in front of a cosy fire catching up, but sadly not to be. We ended up driving to another local pub for food and opening our own wine and sitting in their room when we got back. We decided to go for a walk too before it got dark as they had spent hours driving, but there was no where to go apart from the main road (it was quiet but not ideal)

David was a very helpful host. Enjoyed the little treats and appreciated the excellent amenities. A comfortable stay in an excellent location - we were able to go to Salisbury, Portsmouth and Bealieu from there. Whiteparish village easily accessible.

The breakfast was adequate. Unfortunately the hot food was lukewarm or cold. Very little fresh fruit available or croissants/pastries. Also there were no cold meats or cheese as an alternative to a cooked breakfast.
