Excellent location in central Aviemore but really quiet. Great views from the living room and top floor bedroom. Cosy but modern and well equipped. Particularly appreciated the hot tub and the log burner after some rainy walks! Lots to do in the surrounding area. Some lovely walks/bike rides straight from the door, watersports on Loch Morlich and the kids had great fun at the Landmark Forest Adventure Park. Would definitely return!

The greeting from host Kevin was most welcoming and informative. The decor of the church has been done to a high spec and is very homely and Scottish. The two drams of whiskey in our room on arrival was greatly apprectued by my husband, who had both! You can walk to everything in town, so location is perfect.

On arrival at the Colessio, the staff member was exceptionally helpful (Lyndsay) as were the staff members at breakfast. The Deluxe Double Room was large, airy, comfortable and clean. We enjoyed our drinks in the evening in the bar and the breakfast area was really nice.

Arranging parking with the private car parking service, however, note to others, this can be arranged inside the hotel so if raining please go to the reception! Breakfast food was good, plentiful and there was a great choice, however dealing with the hot plate covers was a challenge.

A return visit to Afton and I was not disappointed. I had a lovely stay and the staff were again welcoming, helpful and friendly. The hotel is located in a brilliant position opposite the pier but also close to the town centre.

Location was very convenient. 2 min walk from underground. Area itself is lively and nice to walk around. Room was smaller than it looks on photos but you have everything you need.

Room and building was super warm. During summer months it would be an issue as no ac and fan throws got air. Bed was on the small size of double, too high off ground and mattress was super soft. No ideal for anyone with a back issue.

How big, spacious, clean it was also the fact that it had all the facilities you wanted, sofas really comfy. Really central to Filey not long walk to anywhere you wanted to go.

The breakfast was a disappointment. The view was good but the staff were inadequate and the tables weren't cleaned and made available.
