Wonderful design, with great attention to detail. The hotel was spotless and also relaxed. We had a fabulous night here and would love to go back. Breakfast was also delicious and again exceeded expectations - we'll spend longer there next time to enjoy the cocktail bar and library.

Breakfast was nicely presented in the orangery, with plenty of choice. There's also the option to order from the breakfast menu. Coffee was also good. The golf facilities are good. The driving range is "high tech", and the pro shop was well stocked.

The food served at evening dining is of a good standard, however, the menu is limited. For example, offering a vegetarian alternative for Beef Wellington but not actually offering Beef Wellington! Also, strange to not have any specials.

Fantastic location on the Devon Coast to Coast route, beautiful old fashioned pub with cosy rooms and a beautiful outlook. The owners were very accommodating and made space for our bikes to be securely stored overnight.

Exceptional value for money . Peaceful surroundings . Huge room with lovely views. Food excellent - however a bit pricey. Couldn’t fault any of the staff - friendly and helpful - would definitely return !

It was very clean and self contained room. Had a fridge, microwave, cups, plates, knives. Small table and chairs. It is not bed and breakfast. It is room only. I would definitely stay again.

The landings had steps to the room and there was no lights on at tea time. I fell down a step approaching a room and hit the wall of another room. A gentleman came out to help and went to bar to report it. Reception came up to checknon me. The lights need to come on automatically when people are on the landings. Luckily i was only scratched and bruised.

First room noisy, second room was hot and couldn't use air con at night as it blew cold air straight over me. No coffee machine, only kettle and instant coffee in a 4* hotel. No fridge
