The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.
3
After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the locals that were drinking in the pub were helpful, giving us advice on parking before we had even stepped inside the hotel. The room is nice enough, overall a nice room over a nice traditional pub, which serves good beer

The only thing I could slightly recommend is that the mattress could do with a good mattress topper to improve the comfort, and maybe an extra light in the room.

The breakfast was not worth the price that was being charged. The location of the hotel was nice and there were a few nice cafés and restaurants in the area. The room itself was fine, it was just a bit small for two people.

The cleaner attempted to let herself into the room while we were in there without knocking. When was told "no" she tried to reach in to take the latch off the door. My friend who I travelled with was quite distressed by this as we were change our clothes / getting ready to go out. We complained about this to the reception and their attitude about it was very blasé and the most they could offer us as an apology was a free drink.

The hostess was lovely and was super helpful when we had leave early for the ferry to Orkney. Breakfast was delicious. Our room was comfortable and clean. A nice, quiet location.

Location is excellent in the middle of Hamble village. Car parking is plentiful and free. Some rooms have nice views across the estuary. Price is reasonable. Rooms very clean.

Breakfast is not available on site but is provided by a nearby cafe. (Jennys) from 8.00. The cafe was disorganised and seemingly unable to cope with the early influx of people which made it impossible to make an early enough start if staying on business. We gave up on breakfast and have asked for the breakfast part of our stay to be refunded. Rooms are a little tired and lacking in any form of style. A bit like staying in a Travelodge. Staff are mixed - some very friendly and others appeared somewhat distant. This is a yacht club with rooms attached so think the club is the primary focus.
