The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

The amazing view, lucky enough to be allocated a room with a castle view. Breakfast was fantastic. Later checkout by 11am great. My daughter suffers from anxiety and it takes her long time to get ready and leave. Staff at reception was good, but be exceptional, even more friendlier, chatty, interested in guests needs, making recommendations etc, at a hotel with such a well known brand name and high cost for rooms. I took my teenage daughter out for a night in Edinburgh, during school hols, but still 150£ for 1night for a parent and child is a lot of money. Thank you. Joanna.

Pool was excellent - I hit a very quiet time and had pool to myself for 30minutes! - and Spa staff very helpful. Changing area was clean. Room was quiet with a rural aspect across neighbouring fields. Breakfast offered a good choice and the staff were very obliging, cooking poached eggs on request.

Room was a little dark, being on the top floor in The Lodge. We think that the room being serviced each day should be a given and not have to ask. Overall furnishings we thought looked tired, eg our bathroom had broken fittings for toilet roll and shower curtain and some carpets were worn through, and in need of refreshing.

The cabin was situated on a private lake which offered peace and serenity, the setting was so beautiful we found it difficult to leave the cabin to explore the surrounding area. We have two dogs and they were free to roam to their hearts content. A wonderful holiday was enjoyed by us all.

What a stunning location! Views from our room were superb!! Staff super friendly and helpful, plentiful parking for our motorbikes. Great selection of beers at the bar and wonderful food in the restaurant.

The apartment was very spacious and had everything we needed. The location was right in the centre, within walking distance of all sights, museums and shops.

Very noisy early in the morning with delivery trucks, cleaning vans etc - some days starting as early as 4.30! Some trucks kept their engine running for over an hour while being parked in front of the apartment. We didn't get much sleep during our stay as a result of this. We expected a city centre apartment to be noisy but not to this extent. The alley where we had to collect our keys was very dark and the key box was difficult to close. We also had to take out our own rubbish.

Need more staff, better communication. £90 was held back on my card for meals but at the restaurant I was told I was room only. There was no place in the room for suitcase which lay open on the floor for 3 days. The shower controls were so stiff I was unable to turn the water back on in order to rinse so had to call reception to get help in the middle of my shower. Extremely disappointed.
