Lovely house and garden. Warm welcome from Andrew who was very helpful with suggestions of where to eat etc. All staff we met were friendly and efficient. Bedroom warm and comfortable. Wide choice for breakfast, all of which was good.

Although really a "nook", just a tiny annex to a house, located next to a lovely garden, the place was very cosy; everything was perfect for a stay of one or two nights. Located in walking distance to cafés, and restaurants.

Washbasin in bathroom was beneath a window, and the mirror was on the door opposite. Shaving was an interesting experience :-) Suggestion: mount a mirror above the right of the washbasin - this looks asymmetric but is at least practicel.

The hotel is located right next to the lift up to Ben Nevis, which makes it convenient for going up if you need to. We didn't go up, we were just exploring the area around Ben Nevis and Fort William.

However, the stay was a bit of a disappointment. The price was quite high for what was offered. There was no air conditioning, which made the room uncomfortably warm. The rooms were also quite noisy, which disrupted our sleep. Additionally, we were a little disappointed with the "mountain view" room we booked, as the view was largely obstructed by a building. Breakfast is offered by the cafe next door but was very overpriced.

Large room. Clean and well presented. Staff very friendly, helpful and informative. Evening meal was just ok. Breakfast was very nice, with lots of choice from continental to cooked.

The man who opened the door for me was not wearing any identifiable logos that would indicate he was a member of staff. And so when he was transacting the business of where my apartment was I was not sure if he was another resident or a random opportunist. I felt anxious. So when he guided me to the second floor via the BASEMENT by entering the lift with me and then telling me that was the way to go, I became very unnerved because it all happened so quick. I had this horrible sick feeling of "what if he is not a member of staff at all!" He was very nice and helpful but that action alone was deeply perturbing for a female travelling on her own. To enter the lift with her and tell her that to get to their apartment on the second floor ye need to go through a basement. I do not want the man to be in trouble because he was genuinely oblivious to how it made me feel. Rather he would be aware on how that act of going in the lift and pressing the basement button without warning could feel to a lone female. He was not wearing anything that indicated he was a staff member and when transacting business he used a phone that came out his pocket. I hope ye can see how it looked from my side. He did not mean to cause me any harm. I know that but at the time I was deeply frightened. Upon entering the other side of the building i was then told that the easiest way to come in would be enter via the other side of the street! Why we didnt do that in the first place I will never know. I was so anxious that I ended up falling over on the top of the stairs getting to that area. In summary: So - please do not take lone females via the basement if possible. And please wear something that would identify you as a member of staff. The apartment was more than adequate but I think some foliage and some pictures on the walls would make it more homely. Also the bed in the ensuite was moving every time I sat down on it. Thought I was gonna go flying across the room!
