Lovely quiet hotel, friendly staff with nice views towards the lake. Lots of restaurants/bars in the village. Car park has four EV charger points which was great. Breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had and we stay in a lot of hotels! The complimentary hot drinks and scones with clotted cream each days was a really nice surprise. Also liked we could order in pizza from the nearby restaurant delivered to our room after a busy day if we didn’t want to go out. Would recommend and thanks very much for the hospitality:)

A very comfortable compact apartment in a great location with everything we needed for a short stay. The self service checkin was hassle free. A nice big shower, and the toiletries provided were top quality! We met a couple of the staff during our visit and they were so friendly and helpful.

In this studio apartment the space around the bed was just a wee bit on the tight side. Also the TV was missing a signal for Freeview, so had to rely on online services. For our short stay these really are minor quibbles, but if staying longer they might be a bit more frustrating.

The cottage was lovely and comfortable lots of love and thought gone into fixtures and furnishings location was great lots of places to eat, drink, visit ect would definitely come back

Unfortunately the whole time we were staying the boiler was faulty meaning trying to get a shower was virtually impossible had to keep resetting boiler which didn't work so trying to get ready to go anywhere was a pain and took ages had to resort to boiling kettle to wash up and ended up going to family to shower which was an inconvenience. The owner was lovely and offered for us to shower at their house nearby, but being 5 adults in our 40s 50s and 60s we wasn't really comfortable doing this,would have liked to have a shower as and when needed just a basic expectation really.Gace put no to did the cottage meet your expectations just for the fact couldn't shower

The apartment was lovely, clean and tidy, spacious. Everything we needed, good location to centre and to St Paul’s cathedral. Quiet at night, peaceful.

I booked this accommodation as it said parking was at property- the car park was being refurbished when we stayed so I could not use the car park. Air conditioning was broken, we had 1 fan, it was far too warm at night.

The location is really great, and there is a kitchen with most of the equipments and condiments. Price was not bad for York.

The wifi is really really really bad. The only spot in the flat with semi-decent wifi signal is the bedroom, despite having two wifi. I couldn’t even use my mobile data because the reception was so bad. I ended up paying for EE wifi during my stay. Second of all, the message before I check-in was a little rude, with a lot of all caps and demanding that I respond. The next few things are not so much cons but rather suggestion: 1) since I booked for three people and it is more expensive than booking for two, I would expect that they could at least put the spare duvet in the duvet cover or something. It felt as though I received no extra service for the extra price I paid. 2) Parking in York is such a nightmare, and it would’ve been quite easy for the host to apply for visitor’s permit for their guests should they choose to.
