Positive section of review
We stayed in the superior room. I would recommend this as spectacular view and uppermost comfort. The bed was extra large a had a perfect nights sleep. There was a little dust but otherwise very clean. Unfortunately, we also encountered dust on out last stay. This may however be due to the domestic staff not been given enough time turn around for each room. The fridge was fully stocked and although we requested our room not to be serviced we were able to obtain extra supplies from the helpful domestic staff.

The breakfast selection was poor. Far from the pictures that advertised the breakfast selection No brown bread on Monday morning, All the fresh melon had gone on Sunday. The hot food is luke warm and scrambled eggs not good. Our breakfast was included in the price but I would not have paid extra for it.

I like to be able to cook my own food when working away, rather than living on takeaways and going to the pub every night, so in that respect it was ok.

I booked for 11 nights as I was working away, Vion apartments was ok but far from ideal, in the bedroom there was no mirror, waste basket or even a bedside lamp, the tv only had a indoor aerial & considering this room was facing onto a main road & the tv didn’t work every time a vehicle went past which was every 10 seconds, having a indoor aerial was pointless, therefore no tv for almost 2 weeks. In the kitchen there wasn’t a tea towel or even a plug for the kitchen sink. The bathroom wasn’t much better, the water in the shower was barely warm & the shower door dropped once I was in, it took almost 10 minutes to get out after showering, after this I couldn’t close the shower door for the rest of my stay, I suggest someone from vion apartments gets in the shower & close the door behind them. The other rooms in the building were mainly occupied by young people who haven’t got a clue how to close a door without slamming it, this can get quite annoying after a few times of slamming at 11pm and 6am, apartment 1 is advertised as having a private kitchen & bathroom, this is false information as these rooms are not lockable so anyone with access to the building also has access to your so called private kitchen & bathroom, I had a couple of occasions during my stay where I came back to dirty dishes in my private kitchen.

The staff aren’t particularly accommodating. You don’t feel like you’re being looked after even though you’re staying no in a fairly nice hotel.

Unfortunately the bed was not very clean, lots of hairs which made us feel like the bed might not have been cleaned properly, carpet in the room felt so dirty that we did not want to step on it without socks. Bed made a lot of noises when you made the slightest move which was quite annoying. Bathroom was not clean at all, although it was a shared bathroom there where a lot of (urine) stains on the toilet and hairs everywhere. We would have rated this place a lot higher if the cleaning was done more properly.
