      The cabin was close to where we needed to stay to connect with family. It was kitted out with what we needed for a short stay of three nights. The bathroom was tight but clean and tidy enough. Quite a long walk from the road down the lovely rural driveway (a bit awkward with no vehicle), we enjoyed seeing local wildlife but grateful it wasn't raining heavily.

      The cabin didn't seem to be insulated and with the heat pump situated above the head of the bed it wasn't suitable to run overnight while sleeping. During our stay there was colder weather and there was a trade off between running the heat pump and having a breeze blow on you when sleeping or the cabin being cold. The shower holder was a bit loose and the shower sporadically went cold.

      Location, structure and Spa were outstanding. The hotel offers incredible setting, beautiful rooms and comfort. The Spa gets really busy during kids time, but still well managed. The Spa team is very professional and I had the best massage ever.

      The service at the restaurant was terrible in terms of organisation. I now understand the 3.8 reviews vs the hotel rated 4.6. Managers and staff seemed really stressed and unable to manage customers complaining due to long wait. The service and waiting time were not aligned with the expectation related to the price. We waited over an hour for dinner to be served. Breakfast organisation was terrible. Over 45 minutes to get only a coffee and over an hour and 15 minutes for food, while the restaurant was not fully booked. Considering the price payed per night 350 pounds, this was totally unacceptable. We were given the excuse of being understaffed but this is not acceptable for the rate payed.

      Location is great, the building is very “historic” in a good way. Well kept and well equipped. Management very responsive and attentive.

      Barely got any sleep. The management should really mention that there is an underground line right under the building and every 3 minutes the whole building shakes… Not going back. Not recommending. Crossed out all the positives for me!

      The foyer and public areas on the ground floor were open and bright, making for a welcoming entrance into the hotel.

      There was an awful lot of very noisy and disruptive construction work being undertaken during my stay. An incredible amount of drilling noise began at 8:45am outside my room and thus prevented any sense of a restful morning, let alone anybody else who might be wanting to sleep before check out at 11am.

      Good location. Spacious living room. Comfortable main bedroom for 2 persons max.

      Very uncomfortable matrass of the sofa bed in the living room. Sound isolation is very poor. Noise from buses and trams are heard all night. Blackout In the living room is terrible. If you sleep on the sofa bed, I bet you get up on the first sunshine in the morning. Despite all the above drawbacks, they still charge an additional 25GBP for the sofa bed linens. Yes.. you read that correctly. Not all necessary bed linens are covered in the tariff.
