The room was large and clean. Location is very good, it's away from the center, but close enough to walk everywhere.

I was disappointed that our rooms weren't tidied between stays. For example, having the bed tidied, the garbage emptied and replaced with new bags, and having our coffee packets and mugs refreshed. For the price we paid for the room, I would have expected this service.

There was no WiFi in our room and the tv reception was dodgy. Tried watching grand designs and Kevin McCloud had a stutter due to the poor reception.

The bedroom and corridor on the 3rd floor was too hot to sleep despite opening our window. This was because some of the radiators remained on despite us turning them off. When I mentioned it to staff at reception they said that engineers had been to fix it but that they could not turn the boiler off

There is no signal on mobile. Toilet in my room had been used and not flushed, which told me the room was not cleaned before my arrival. You can not place any food orders after 10 pm, which then made it very hard to order food as there were no phone signals. Asked staff if myself and partner could just get a sandwhich or something small as we had travelled all day and not has time to eat which the guy said they are not serving food but the chef was atill there and could make us a quick sandwhich . Once he asked where the sandwhich menu was a lady with shoulder-length blonde hair, im assuming the manager was like NO we dont do food at this time." The guy then said we could use the QR code back in the room. Qr code did not work, which obviously if i have nonphone signal it won't!! Explained this to them and asked if they have a phone i could use to order a take out or call a taxi and a lady with black hair said we can go across the bridge and ask the staff there which baring in my it was absolutely pouring it down ...... when inarrived i asked if they could order me a takeout feom anywhere local ....she said she wasnt feom the area so was not sure but she did check on google and booked me a taxi and i just asked the taxi driver to take me to a proper restaurant. Travelled all the way to the city centre and back to the hotel. The wire that connected the phone in the room did not fit in the phone,so it was not in use. Had to keep going to reception to Bed was squeaky and ready to break very old-fashioned with modern bedside lamps ..... very odd
