The hotel really exceeded our expectations. The hotel staff were all very welcoming and helpful from arrival to departure. Our room was very well equipped with tea, coffee, chocolate and biscuits replenished each day. A mini fridge was also available so small items could be kept cool. A lovely touch was the complimentary block of chocolate. The beds were really comfortable too. The bathroom was equally well equipped and we also had use of a hair dryer, iron/iron board, slippers and bathrobes. Breakfasts were a delight with loads of choice- from cereals, toast, fruit and yogurts to pastries, muffins and full English cooked breakfast. We also dined in the restaurant and our meals were equally good. Finally, the location was great and within easy walking distance of the town and so helpful to have use of a secure onsite car park. Would definitely recommend and will return again.

Located in a quiet area and with our own bedroom and lounge, only a few minutes away on foot from village amenities. Everything was perfect for a relaxing couple of nights away.

The bathroom was not clean with hairs in the bath and extremely mouldy mastic on the bath itself. The bath tap was very loose as was the hand basin. No plug in the bath and although staff brought another one, I still had to put a glass over the plug to get the bath to fill. The handbasin drained very slowly. The heated towel rail and radiator did not work - although a heater was brought for me. Generally felt uncared for and I was disappointed.
