Our room was beautiful and a touch quirky in a good way. Excellent use of space and plenty of storage space. The wifi is exceptional. Any requests we made were sorted out immediately by the staff on duty. All staff were very helpful and friendly but a special thanks to Nathan. We were lucky enough to deal with him mostly and he is a wonderful representative of the hotel. He's knowledgeable helpful friendly polite and a genuine asset to the Velvet Hotel. He really made our trip. Would highly recommend the Velvet Hotel. The rooms were exceptionally quiet even when the hotel was full. We didn't hear any noise from other guests at any stage. My wife and I loved the hotel and its location. We were made feel right at home as soon as we checked in. We would definitely recommend it to anyone and we would love to return in the future. Parking is quite easy given how centrally located the Hotel is and there are plenty of options to choose from but a car really isn't necessary.

Very little if anything. Maybe a couple more sockets in the room would be helpful and some complimentary water would be nice. Otherwise no complaints at all.

Easy to find from the train station, rooms and bathroom very clean. All staff friendly and attentive. Breakfast was included and had mostly what would be on for breakfast.

Owner did not remember my booking and was quite rough at my arrival. I felt very unwelcome. I had booked a double bed room but got a small room with a very uncomfortable single bed. I had to leave my suitcase at the kind of entrance of the house.. had to walk through the corridor and the kitchen to get to my luggage. Toilet was outside the room. I had a very bad night sleep the bed being quite uncomfortable and squeaky. Not recommended.
