The hotel location is perfect; across the road from York Minster and within easy walking distance from all the main tourist attractions. The valet parking service makes arrival/ check-in stress free. The food at both breakfast and dinner was outstanding. All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

The double room we had was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed apart from room to put your feet down. The bathroom looked to have been recently refurbished and was a decent size. However, the room itself was absolutely tiny. The bed was also on the small side. The window looked out onto a small roof area, so no view. The room was sandwiched between the lift and the staircase.

Friendly welcome, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a bit cramped but fine in every other respect. The breakfast was superb - cooked to order and well presented. Staff were extremely sociable and helpful with local knowledge. Independent access to the property.

Food wastage as cooked breakfast was in excess of what was ordered. The small bathroom was a bit tricky for those less agile. Finding the property wasn't easy - better signage needed from the main. Staff aware of the problem.

The hotel is in a great location with comfy clean rooms and has Very friendly and accommodating staff especially the lady we dealt with mostly, we were able to leave our bags on arrival and departure with no hassle.thank you Tracey xx

It was a very clean hotel. Everything required for our stay was there. The location was great for visiting family. Lighting in room was eco friendly which was great but at times not appropriate for someone with sight problems.

The property was fine but the shower did not work, it was only dropping extremely how water and it was so frustrating after returning for a long hike. The breakfast was good.

The lodge was very spacious very big living area which was perfect for our family. Lovely big hot tub on the decking area. Very quiet and peaceful location.

Loved the bunk beds for the children. Also loved the dishwasher made cleaning so much quicker and easier. Loved that flamingo land was only 8 minutes drive.

There was no hand towel, only a huge bath towel, there was no outlet in front of the bathtub, only the floor. And it would have been nice to have tea or coffee, the cleanliness was not sufficient, I sent a photo of this on the spot the same day. It's a shame, because if it had been clean, it would have been very good accommodation. If they change this, I think I would go back again.
