Positive section of review
This is a beautiful recently built flat with a south-facing balcony just a few hundred yards from Ashford International Station and even closer to the designer outlet. It's set a little back from the road, and the railway line that passes next to it has infrequent trains. The accommodation is very well equipped and comfortable. There were sachets of coffee, tea, milk and sugar, which was very welcome as I was only there for a couple of days. There is free parking - but make sure you don't park in resident-only bays. Last time I stayed in a different flat in this complex my hire car was given a parking ticket!

The bed mattress was quite hard so not as comfy as I hoped. There were no written instructions for the cooker or the heating which would have been very helpful - although I had been briefly shown how to use them. Recycling and bin arrangements need to be improved - the kitchen multipurpose bin wasn't lined or labelled, and there wasn't information about what to do with refuse and recycling, except a check-out instruction to take it all away. So I did, but it was an unnecessary inconvenience. I found a recycling point 5 or 10 minutes walk away. Recycling is very important to me as I'm sure it is to many of your guests. The wardrobe doors have no handles so it is very difficult to open them. A small point to finish with - for those staying for only a couple of nights it is so handy if a small supply of staples such as cooking oil and kitchen roll is available.

Most importantly, the bed and the room were very clean. I loved the motel style and individuality of this place, and the location surrounded by forest. Quietness is important to me: you can't hear the M25 at all from there, and inside the room you can't hear the passing traffic with the window shut. The twin room has 2 small double beds - the size a single bed should be! Very comfy too. The host is friendly and helpful, he even phoned me after I left my jacket behind and he's helping me to get it back.

The car park is very tight and it's a bit awkward getting in and out. I had a parking space overnight, but I popped out early the next morning and it was full when I came back - I had to get 'inventive' with where I parked. Still, I liked that the parking is right outside the rooms. The signage from the main road could be improved - but Google took me to the right place. Also, the bath towels could be bigger.

The hotel is well located, within a short walk of the city centre. The room was a good size, clean and quite. I like the fact that the hotel helps fund local charities. The welcome from the staff. The car park was convenient.
