The place was very pretty and the village location was beautiful. Rooms were spacious and nice in room bar with good selection of snacks/drinks. Bed was large, firmer than to my taste, but in all fairness I did sleep well because I was very tired. Very quiet surroundings. Bar/restaurant was nice. Food was good with pleasant service. Only thing that could have improved things would have been if the log burner was on as it was quite a chilly evening. I did have a bath and there was plenty of hot water and it was a big bath so that was great (bear in mind though, if you're short, you'll likely drown in this bath - I'm 5 feet 6 and my feet didn't touch the ends unless I slid half way down the bath - great for two people or someone 6 feet taller or more!

I will say that where the bedrooms are behind the pub itself, the area could have been a bit tidier. There was an old mattress left outside which wasn't very appealing. And our room was very cold when we got there late afternoon, to the point I had to get into bed to keep warm. However the room did warm up later in the evening when we got back from our meal. The plug my side of the bed was taped off and so I didn't have a bedside lamp which was a bit annoying. And there was an interconnecting door, but it was locked and there was apparently no key to open it. It would have been good since one of us slept alone next door. Bathroom was nice, but there was no toilet paper at all when we arrived which I had to go and request. One thing - online it says they have family rooms, but when I booked I could only get 2 separate rooms. In the bigger room there was a very large/pleasant sofa bed which would have been very adequate for our son. Instead, we had to book two rooms at £95 each. We would have been much happier with the sofa bed option. But I can't find anywhere any age limit on who can share a room, so if that can be made clearer it may help. I will say, we came back here because my son and husband stayed last year and loved it. We paid £60 last year and this year the cost has gone up to £95 per room (room only). That is a considerable jump. Although I liked the place a lot, for that price I'm not sure I'd come back again unless a family room was an option. There was 3 of everything in the room (towels/cups etc) so it presumably must be an option?

The staff are fantastic. Right from check in to our farewell. They were efficient, friendly and even offered ideas of where to go for lunch. Housekeeping staff noticed our anniversary cards in the room and on our return there were rose petals, wine and a lovely note. It was such a surprise. Would recommend a visit to the roof top bar. Really lovely and fab views.

It's a great central location but was a bit noisy outside. Luckily our room was at the back of the hotel.

I just stayed the one night from 9pm and straight out in the morning, so can't really comment on more than that. Nice friendly greeting on arrival. Nice enough room with good, enormous bed. Really good shower unit. Good basic breakfast.

Pillows a bit hard.

Fantastic stay. Very lovely location and hospitality. Big clean rooms, little treats, great breakfast and great value for money. One of the best countryside farmhouses I've visited and will look forward to returning.

The staff were friendly and the check in experience exceeded expectation. The staff checking us in made us feel very welcome. I was pleasantly surprised by the outward appearance, considering how cheap the stay was.

The safe wasn't working - the code could not be set, and therefore we didn't secure any valuables. The TV remote was broken and kept falling apart. The shower ceiling was incredibly low and I had to duck (I'm 6'3). In the evening we ordered two drinks at the bar (a double sailor Jerry rum and coke, and a double gin and tonic). We were served a single rum, no coke, and the double gin and tonic had no citrus fruit, yet we were charged £22! I silently choked, but accepted the price as we seemingly snagged a bargain on the room rate. We quickly finished our disappointing drinks and retired to our room.

Depends on what you compare this hotel to - after staying in hostels for a while this felt refreshing and very comfortable, but amongst other hotels this one does not stand out as much as I expected.

One of the sinks did not drain properly and was practically unusable. Besides that, everything was satisfactory.

The breakfast was the low point. There wasn't enough choice. Also arriving for breakfast after 8.30 a.m. there was some food which had run out, no croissants and very little fruit.

More choices for breakfast.

Clean, comfortable and easy walking distance to shops ect. Off road parking a bonus!

Central location close to town centre facilities and restaurants. comfortable room.

No breakfast available, but can be obtained at nearby cafes. Live music in pub was audible but sufficiently far from bedrooms not to be disturbing.

Cleanliness and location.

There was humming noise all night and the room was very hot so didn’t really sleep. No desk in room. Very soft mattress.
