We had our wedding reception here 30 years ago and so returned for our anniversary. It was a bit like coming home-it had changed but was the same. Instead of the swimming pool there is a lovely sized ‘posh gazebo’ (this phrase doesn’t do it justice), which allows for inside/outside dining etc. and really adds something to the outside area. The staff were really accommodating and friendly. The dinner and breakfast was a really good standard. We even had some celebratory chocolate from the team post dinner-to celebrate our Anniversary which was thoughtful. Our room-we swear it was the same room we had on our wedding evening-but redecorated-was spacious clean and tastefully decorated. The bar choice was good and staff knew how to make a good Aperol spritz ( you’d be surprised how many good places don’t). Maybe we shouldn’t leave it so long to go back next time!

Very smart, modern self contained units in rural setting. Fixtures/ fittings good standard. Shower excellent. Nice touches like coffee machine and fresh milk. Perfect for our stopover before visiting Scilly Islands and would be excellent for a few days in the area. Dog friendly too.

We were threatened by a neighbour on arrival when parking. We travel a lot but we've never experienced this before. The guy threatened one of our team, picking on her for being southern and suggested he would damage our car.

The host kindly offered us another flat to stay in, however, it was only a few doors down so we still felt unsafe. We couldn't speak to the owner as they have someone else manage the property for them. They led us to believe we could get a refund, so, we booked somewhere else for two nights. However, after two weeks of waiting, we were told we would not get a refund.

Easy to get to, good car parking, staff really friendly and the rooms were immaculate! Bed and pillows very comfy we had a great stay here. Didnt realise there was a bar and restaurant too! We were pleasantly upgraded also.

A little noisy, especially Friday and Saturday nights, with some noise very late. Low shower pressure. No towel rails. Limited choice of breakfast cereal, and limited tea and coffee.

The bar manageress was extremely rude with no people skills whatsoever, if this is who you have as customer facing then I'd seriously think twice about your selection of employees. The card payment service was down and had to add credit to our room before ordering drinks. Air con in room was practically non existent.
