the owners were very friendly and very helpful and had info of where was best to eat out or what taxi to use ,parking in the town ect. the location was good if you had a car not so sure about if you didn't have one as we never used public transport. loved the sea view from our room which was rather small but adequate once we got used to it. also there was a very good selection at breakfast fruit juices teas coffee, fresh fruit, yogurts, porridge, toast brown and white and a full English cooked breakfast with a different extra everyday which was lovely. you could park outside the hotel at the front day and night if you had a blue badge which was great as we just sat outside enjoying the views if we had brought anything back to eat.

there was no bar in the hotel as they no longer found it viable but this did not put us off and you were allowed to bring in your own alcohol to sit in the lounge area which was very comfortable if you so wished. and if you left the hotel via the backdoor there is a freindly pub just down the road about 500yds, you are not allowed to bring food back with you to eat in your room, and there are a lot of steps up to the property and when inside up to the rooms and down to breakfast which would be a bit of a struggle if you were elderly or just not fit enough to climb the stairs as there is no lift. although this was a bit of a struggle with my partner it did not put us off.

This charming pod is the best place I’ve ever stayed - and I’ve stayed in some famous hotels-. The view from the pod is phenomenal and inside the pod every little detail has been thought about and tended to. Loved the crisp fresh linen, power shower and the ever so luxurious feel of the towels. We’re hoping to return for a longer stay in the summer.

Great place to stay if you're passing through Dumfries. Colin was very warm and welcoming. Lots of nice touches, like tea and biscuits in the room. Very clean room, great shower. Fabulous breakfast. We loved the well-kept garden, so attractive. Walking distance to town and good parking. Would stay again. Thanks to all the staff

Booked a premier room. Exceptionally clean, bed was a little hard for my liking. Pool was lovely and warm, We ate in the hotel, food was good alcohol was reasonably priced. Breakfast was very good although not very warm. Hotel in general was very clean and comfortable.
