Burnham on Sea, United Kingdom

This property was clean cosy warm comfortable. The coffee machine was a luxury we didn't expect. Dog bits very much appreciated by Freddy. Thank you for welcome pack. We will definately return and recommend to others. Location was fab. Close to Brean Weston mad Burnham was a lovely sea town. Hosts were lovely. Neighbours lovely parking space.

Booked as a birthday treat, a great place for a night or two, particularly if you fancy something a little different, stayed in a cosy carriage and breakfast was fab. Nearest eatery "Badgers" very convenient, would recommend you book ahead of your stay to guarantee a table.

We don’t often do self catering, but this was a last minute booking and suited our purpose. The chalet contained everything we needed and was easy to find, great central location for what we wanted and was very clean. The site was quiet and grass freshly lawned.

There were no facilities on site. Ie: no restaurant or anywhere to socialise. There was a makeshift marque at the weekend, but it was almost deserted and very few persons on site. I know it was out of season, so suited us and our needs but it was almost too quiet with no life. There is no free wi-fi, but small charge which is reasonable if needed. The chalet was ok for two, but very small and the double bed was a very small double. The small site shop was closed on our arrival, so we had to find a supermarket, which was fine and St Merryn is about 1 mile away with shops. It was good value for what we had and have no complaints.

A superb property in the centre of Polperro, extremely well kitted out and decorated, and only 2 minutes walk to each of the local hostelries and restaurants we visited. There is nothing to dislike about this property!

I enjoyed the size of the room. I stayed on the ground floor with patio. The room was fully equipped for our needs.

Open patio with no fencing. We had a dog owner next door that kept barking at me so I didn't go outside to enjoy the sit down area. Breakfast was disappointing on the first day as it was very oily. This is my second visit so I hoped for the same and above standards.

Rooms were spotlessly clean, breakfast was excellent, staff were friendly and welcoming.
Negative section of review
Communal areas were not very well maintained, corridors and general decor looked tired, restaurant was quite expensive for the quality of food provided.

Staff friendly but not organised on arrival. Indian restaurant serves ok food.

Booked deluxe family room listed as having two double beds and private bathroom. Room 6 was three single beds but worst of all bath/shower in bedroom so no privacy whatsoever. Changed to twin room with private bathroom was ok. Bedding and towels are all pretty worn out. Live music in pub below room so load both bedroom floor and bed vibrates although did stop at 10.30pm.
